Chuckie Rouland

I didn't think about that. I just hope if they do that if they bring on the Brooks Sisters for the 50th they are given actual POV. And not just standing there in the corner and given weird dialogue about Jill.

I feel like someone out there is actively trying to tank Y&R.

St. John's smarminess reminds me of Puhney Muhney's anti-charisma.

This is a great big "NO THANKS" in my book.

They should have used this money to keep Robert Newman around.

Or pay for Naya and her husband so we could actually see the story.

another Ashland recast? Back from the dead w/ a new face? Is Robert Newman gone for good? Hmm. I personally liked him on OLTL so I'm willing to see what he brings to the show.

So true for all the above. Indeed since Morina and Griffin have been put in charge the show was left to rot on purpose but given how there’s practically nothing to replace Y&R with.

And yes I agree with hopefully St. John is not thrown into the black hole that is AH Victoria. Yeesh. With the show’s 50th anniversary approaching it would be nice to see if he plays Cole, Brooks, Chuckie, etc.

Knowing JG I shudder to think of what Diane’s “secret connection” to the past is or could be.

    • Leslie having the nerve to show up at the Dupree House was pure insanity. Bill being revealed to be more ruthless than anyone would have thought was a good development. I have to imagine that will change Dani's view of wanting him back. The whole reveal was well done and Trisha Mann-Grant owned those scenes. That was most definitely material for an Emmy submission reel.
    • I agree, all the Guys Tux were nice. I like how they differ from each other and all stylish in a way. Awe, same. Can not believe I actually have enjoying a current daytime soap. Rewatching these episodes over the weekend as a jump back into Ryan's Hope and Santa Barbara. Agreed! Exciting times.

And it was pretty dope we didn't know that tidbit before the reveal.
    • yes I thought of the Renee party... But this is different because I'm talking specifically about the revealer convincing someone else to throw the party.  And the someone else complies, having no idea what the revealer plans. I'm wondering if Michele Val Jean did a first with BTG in 2025. But the BTG thread is already so busy -- that I thought it important to *NOT* clog it up with discussing this, so I brought the question here instead. That way, if other reveals come up in conversation, it's not a problem on this "general retro soap" thread.
    • Well, good that they showed Vanessa though I wish she was there.   Lol. And here comes Naomi. AND an explanation from Jacob.

She is diabolical! Remember in this scene she offered Martin a brownie which seemed so random? In this episode its revealed that when he was a kid, Ted used to bring him to a restaurant where the waitress would give him brownies....that waitress was Leslie. She was playing games and trying to jog his childhood memory
    • Yay!!!!!! And made it ON TIME, TOO!!!   And this is giving DAYS reveals circa late 90s already.
    • Bish what? I was not expecting that, I was for sure expecting him to go after Nicole (He still can). Looks like Leslie put her out! I love these new developments, Eva Dorian Lording her way into Fairmont Crest. My good sis better trap that doctor.
    • It should be in its synopsis on the DVR description of the show.
    • Well, in a way DAYS "Renee Dumonde DiMera Threw a Party & Invited Everyone & Then Told the Whole Town Off" if you see what I mean. She definitely pretended that she was throwing this shindig for a pleasant reason while she KNEW her real intent wasn't pleasant AT ALL. And, everyone in Salem was targeted by her in this way.  I mean it was supposedly a celebration of her engagement. But, that is not what happened! I think it checks off all your boxes. And, before today I would definitely have called it "singular". There was nothing like it. Now, there's something not only similar but possibly .... more far-reaching? I was just struck by a thought. When MVJ was tasked to write a catfight, she wrote the best catfight that has ever existed. I'm not sure but what if she's done it again?!!
