Sounds like he is unreliable, and they should just hire Asante Jones fulltime. In some ways, I think Asante Jones is the better actor. I know very well how cancer works, my dad is a two time cancer survivor, 20 years ago colon cancer, and a few years ago skin cancer. So DEFNITELY IN NO WAY should Réal Andrews be fired.
