Yeah, the T.R. stuff is terrible.  I think the actor only signed on for short term, but maybe find a different actor then?  It would have been so much better if Paulina was drawn back to him, even reluctantly, and starting giving him a second chance and Lani started to bond with him.  Or if he did starting dating Nancy or something. The only thing that happened was Paulina yelling at him to stay away and Lani sharing some fries and mayo with him.  It seems like such a waste of story.   Eli got shot, but there were so many missed beats.

Anyhow, through all my complaining I forgot to say how much I loved the Will/Allie scenes.  It felt like another show.  So realistic and natural.  Chandler and Lindsey have great chemistry as siblings.  They also look alike, which is something I feel Days does well with when casting usually.

I still have no idea why the devil didn't go into Belle initially and not Johnny.  She's such an obvious choice for Possession and I am not sure why the show didn't just go that route.  It's not like JoDevil has done anything important.

I suspect the movie will eventually be cancelled, so I doubt it matters much. I am not really sure the true status of the movie.  I think not everyone has committed as far as the 'cast' goes like Allie and Chanel.  But, yes, you would assume he'd have more involvement.

I thought it was shocking that the Devil was in Doug at first.  I really didn't have a desire to see it, but it was at least a twist.  He didn't do much of anything besides grab Paulina's ass and lock Julie in a freezer (which I don't hate lol).  And it's nice of Marlena to save her 90 year old buddy, but maybe she shouldn't have let the devil in and unleashed it on the entire town.  IMO, it would have made more sense for the devil to be in Belle first because Marlena would absolutely sacrifice herself for her daughter.  Doug?  I mean I guess? Lol.

Or too slow.  Like the Possession lol.  Or we have Sarenee's story that's been dropped for days and I guess we just assume she's running around town looking for Don Craig and nobody has informed Maggie because last we heard she was on a trip with Victor.

    • I really appreciated all the movement in today's episode.  It resonated with me that it felt like the sort of nervous energy that can surround a family after death. I want to point out the EJ scene.  I was riveted by his multi-layered performance. When he told Belle that he went to her because he loved her, and then saw that she was embarrassed by him, and rejected the part of her that was attracted to him.  It started to make even more sense why he would try to protect Johnny (who I still don't think shot him).  EJ feels like a pariah (although TBH, it wouldn't have hurt to bring Marlena some of that tea that everyone had been promising her all morning).  And he doesn't want to pass that along to his son by exposing him as the shooter.
    • -- What a stupid party. Devon and Abby leave while Victor goes upstairs to the GCAC bar and talks with Kyle. Then we see Jack giving Nikki ANOTHER birthday toast as if the party has just begun. Huh??? -- This party perfectly encapsulates sweeps month for this show: lame, deadly, boring af. -- Once again, Cole gets really sick and no one insists on an ambulance or the ER. They really want him dead, don't they? Instead we hear multiple characters say "Gee, I hope Victoria doesn't catch it." Cole will be dead before Dumas. -- Kyle is really offering to make a contract with Victor so he can continue to see Claire? Jesus Wept. -- And then the shoe ends with Victor praising Nikki for softening his heart over the years -- after we've seen him treat Kyle, Michael, and Jack like sh_it for days.
    • Your welcome! Will never understand the point of Budig! I forget she’s there 95% of the time and Thudley does too!
    • I do think Zane could have been a decent long-term addition if they hadn't disposed of him - up to Lucas' arrival, at least.
    • It is 4 feet!!! https://www.hulu.com/hub/tv/collections/9979 Today, GH, I am amazed. #1 Up from #2 on Saturday, which was up from #4 during the week last week.

    • If he was responsible for Egyptian dust, you should have led with that! That one thing cinches it for me.
    • I would consider recasting Nikolas again just for the sake of those around him, but you may be right.
    • Watched Mondays episode, wow! That’s all I have to say. It was heartbreaking to watch. You really don’t know how invested you are in these characters until moments like this. Deidre was absolutely phenomenal in that whole episode, as I am sure she will be in the coming weeks. I was a bit torn about having Bo and Hope being the contrast in this episode, but I understand why they did it. And when Bo woke up and said fancy face to Hope, it broke me even more! Honestly, there are no more words except bravo to everyone involved and RIP to the greatest hero that ever existed in soaps John Black

    • Watching this longer clip I truly am impressed with the effects but also the direction - the moments of fear in the ballroom before the blast are wonderful. What I appreciate most here is the lack of a montage and the lack of aggressive editing.  This all looks better than quite a bit you could find elsewhere at the time, let alone now. Julia should have avoided weddings.
    • I hope somewhere in the fictional universe, Sami called Vivian to tell her about John. They just shared an Uber to the airport, so I assume they have each other's contact info (no matter the universe, they both probably only have 3
