I haven't thought Rex was needed ever.   But I thought KL looked really hot today and I generally never think that.

The devil helping Phillip would make too much sense so i doubt it's true, but it would be a way to get him out of that corner and the Devil would screw with Brady to torment John/Marlena.

Kyle Lowder has never been my type but I agree that he's looking good. I'm glad that Rex is back and that we can make some progress with the Sarah stuff. Xander and Gwen have been together for two seconds, so she looks really stupid trying to hang onto him so desperately.

Gabi and Jake looked like clowns with Victor. Jake is nothing but Gabi's lap dog at this point. He has no life besides following her around.

I wish we could actually see EJ and Chad working together instead of just hearing about all the DiMera boardroom drama.

That would’ve been fun to see for Possession 2.0; MarDevil wreaking havoc on all of Salem, turning people against each other, manipulating them into doing bad things, in an attempt to capture their souls or something lol

He’s a nice looking guy, but there are others guys on Days that I think are more attractive

Poor Rafe's being as written as such a dope. I am anxious to see the next two episodes though. I'm now curious as to how Nicole goes from this nice conversation with Rafe about his feelings for her to EJ's bed in such a short amount of time

The Paulina/Kate scenes were good. It was nice to see the both of them bonding over their similar experiences with their ex-husbands.

And as glad as I was to see Lucas be the one to rescue Sami, those scenes did seem a little underwhelming. I thought they had more money to spend this season.

I have never thought KL was attractive really, but I was watching yesterday and thought he looks pretty hot today.  I think it's the lack of goofy hair he usually sports.  That cut looked nice.  Plus, I just think he looks better older than he did as a younger guy.

I am happy about Lucas rescuing her too. But

So glad Lucas, Sami, EJ and Nicole have been the highlights of the week so far a nice break from possession 2.0

What isn’t a nice break is Phillip/Chloe/Brady. Completely unwatchable, predictable  and FF material. Not to mention to destroy Phillip like that is lame.

This Rafe sh-t is for the birds. They seriously need to kill him off.

But Dan Feuerriegel was shirtless today and has awesome chemistry with Ari Zucker, so I'm happy. Tomorrow will be good.

I genuinely laughed at Belle's line about how Philip has had so many paternity tests.

Still waiting on an explanation as to how all that alcohol got into Brady's system.

The Gabi/Ava rivalry is so weak. Ooh, Gabi insulted Ava's pasta. SMH.

Right?  Aside from the whole alcohol thing why can't Brady remember he was sober, getting John food at the Brady pub, and knocked out?  Also Brady made an excellent point about being THAT intoxicated.  He's not going to run around town killing sober people and making coherent drunk text threats.  He would be passed out or easily subdued lol.  I am not saying it couldn't happen in the heat of the moment, but he had to physically seek out Phillip and kill him with an alcohol level that's practically incapacitating.

And should Shawn be telling Belle all this police business about her brother lol?

    • I very much liked office Cleary and the actress who portrayed her (as you say, Mary Peterson).  A shame her turn didn't evolve into a contract role.   BTW, does anyone know the timeframe/years that Betty Rae served as casting director?  If i understand correctly, she not only led the effort for contract roles, but also for shorter 13- and 26-week roles.  IMO, GL had LOTS of very well-casted, limited roles, too. I'm surprised the actors throughout the soap industry, and especially P&G actors, have not assembled a book or something similar, praising Rae.  Each actor could write a few paragraphs or a page of text describing his or her experience.
    • No. Ruth had an extramarital affair with David while married to Joe.
    • I'm not sure I agree with Bernstein's children on that. Bernstein's life and activism here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonard_Bernstein#Social_activism_and_humanitarian_efforts
    • Thursday & Friday's episodes were excellent. The build-up was most definitely worth the wait (2 months). TMG, I can't give her enough accolades. AM, was also absolutely incredible. I think the fallout is going to have a ripple effect. The little clues that have been dropped,  hopefully, will weave seamlessly to reveal even bigger bombshells for the Dupree's and Martin.
    • Thanks, msn drives me nuts on the one hand but on the other hand their headlines appeal to me. And, I just don't do FoxNews.
    • The link doesn't work.  The actual link is this: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/composer-leonard-bernstein-s-children-request-his-music-be-played-in-the-kennedy-center-in-rebuke-to-trump/ar-AA1E7gw5 That's a reprint of a FoxNews article. MSN reprints stuff from many sources. You can tell the source from the logo above the headline on the msn page. The FoxNews article is describing what Leonard Bernstein's children wrote -- as a "letter to the editor" of the New York Times. Instead of reading it filtered through FoxNews, here is the original: "Our Dad, Leonard Bernstein, Would Want His Music Played at the Kennedy Center" https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/02/opinion/kennedy-center-leonard-bernstein-protest.html Non-paywall archived copy of the same NYTimes letter, without commentary: https://archive.is/QaLqD
    • Might be a long shot, because I can't find a thing online about it, but I was Googling the actress that played Nell Cleary (Frank's cop friend that went through academy and then became cops together during the entire Brent Lawrence storyline). To my surprise, she passed away in 2011, at the very young age of 45. I can't find her obituary or anything online about her passing, but I'm curious, does anyone know what happened? Her IMDB only shows a few other acting gigs post-Guiding Light, so she didn't make a career out of it, but I thought she was a great actress in her role as Cleary. Her name was Mary Peterson.
    • What was Ruth Martin's association to the Thornton family?  I only remember the daughter that dated Tad, and she had a buxom mother.  But, did Ruth date David Thorton before Joe?

Why didn't Steve respect Monica and Jeff's decision?  I get he's Jeff's father, and that's how it came out, but I don't like the ethics of the story. A stranger gets to make life or death decisions over a wife's demands?   I hope Monica secretly never forgave Steve's chauvinism.
    • Question: Jon-Michael Reed's review of 1977 is up in the retro soap section.  It includes a fleeting reference to comedic scenes between Jeanne Cooper and Julianna McCarthy regarding “Kay's would-be beau, Ralph the Plumber”.  Could someone please fill me in will more details? I forgot that Kay and Liz were friendly before Jill stole Kay's husband.  And the thought of Liz playing a comedic scene blows my mind, because I only recall her being dour both in demeanor and wardrobe.
