It was. The s2 Darla arc was always my favorite. And I was never so happy to not watch a promo when I was unspoiled about the twist at the end of the Trial episode cuz I loved THAT return and screamed...and rewatched. Ah the VHS days...lol. To this day, I usually stop at the Harmony episode as the end of S2. I hate Pylea.

Perhaps I will watch it this time around.

Yeah, Greenwalt leaving definitely was felt.

I usually re-watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer twice per-year; during quarantine last year I must've watched it six or seven times in a four-month period. Never gets old.

Oh! Why do you feel that way?

I think it was due to the series' move to UPN. I got the loss of Giles and understood it, and I think that's what made his "special guest" appearances even more special.

I hate the fourth season with a burning passion; I can understand why people like it, but I absolute hate it to this day.

The fact Charisma Carpenter was told Cordelia wouldn't be killed off, only to get to the set, see the script and see that Cordelia does, in fact, die is an insult to her.

I know SMG has had struggles with finding the right roles for quite a while now. I don't know if Buffy needs to come back, especially as the show ran about 4 years too long and the shadow of Joss Whedon is always going to hang over everything. I do wish them luck and I hope they give Buffy fans a happy conclusion for the character (as I know most of the show will be about new characters).

I was a huge Sarah Michelle Gellar fan in my early teens. I was obsessed with I know what you did last summer! I'm happy for her. I think Buffy has potential in 2025 to become a huge hit again. I would also hope that she has more than... recurring role in it. But that's just me.

Im assuming Buffy will player watcher/mentor to the newest slayer. We inda had that in Season 7 so I would hope something different happens. Like she's trated as a legend but hasnt been seen in years, potentially presumed dead until a new threat forces her to emerge

Isn't Sarah doing the Dexter prequel show? I doubt she is hurting for money or needs to do this.

Nor do I think a sequel/remake series really needs to exist. I can understand keeping Joss out of it after all the trauma, but without at least some of that past creative team it's going to feel very strange. The tone and language of BTVS/Angel was very specific.

Very strange for Chloe Zhao to go from winning Best Picture a few years back to the Eternals flop and now well, this.

    • I'm pretty sure this ep is  from Dec 73 From the Daytime Serial Newsletter Ian and Valerie Northcote are deeply concerned over Laurie's  life being increasingly dominated by hallucinations and fantasies about Georgina, the former owner of the house the Reddins recently bought and are now living in. Doreen Post (Linda Purl) was involved in that story .Perhaps she was going to be revealed as Georgina's daughter? Wonder how that story evolved and whether it was wrapped up before cancellation? and thanks to @skylark

    • Many thanks to @skylark and @DRW50!
    • Thank u so much! I love that show and the more I see of it the more I want to find more of it even if it’s just in script form. But that house and especially the room looked like Victoria Winters room from dark shadows lol  this was great find! Thanks
    • I genuinely thought when they said she had been throwing up, we were going to get a pregnancy story. I’m actually not convinced we aren’t. Especially the way she and Doug danced around her own infidelity.
    • Shouldn't it be the other way? I don't think Taylor Hayes is playing Rebecca Budig.

    • And the most detailed discussion I've seen from an industry figure about some of JFP's worst choices as a producer (steamrolling over writers) was from another woman, Megan McTavish.
    • IMDb is definitely incorrect, because the final week of episodes in 1974 is uploaded to Youtube in audio form, and Mark and Laurie are there until the very end. The last episode shows Mark going back to the priesthood. I looked at the newspaper and the earliest reference to their house being haunted by Georgina is in December of 1973. This is dated Dec 14, but this same synopsis ran in the papers until the end of December in other publications. So it must have been within those last 3-4 months. I think Stephanie Braxton joined around 1969-1970 so that's probably right. I saw it stated in other newspapers that David Gale joined around September 1972.

    • Opal having siblings could add to the story. However, it raises questions about Tad's adoption. Why were the Martins allowed to adopt him if Tad had aunts or uncles who could have cared for him?  Logic limited the number of possible Gardner's (and whatever Opal's maiden name was).  Even though Linda Thorson would have been a hysterical choice given her British accent.  Especially because SOD often published questions by readers who wondered why Tad and Jenny didn't speak like their mother.   All of which is still not an excuse for Tad's evil doppelgänger Ted.
