“Guess what I have?” seems to indicate COVID.

A lot of media companies have simply given up on their linear channels. They don’t think it’s a smart investment anymore. I certainly see that with my old workplace (one of the reasons why I left).

Oy vey. Well, I got CBS All Access and nothing to do beyond a few work things so I guess I may try watching it. I loved the first few seasons - I was particularly invested in LA and San Francisco, for all its dysfunction and later Fox News leakage, but NY was always lower-key and cooler than them all to me. It's lovely to see this group again.

Loving  the show

But did they really need to show the roommates video of the Kevin/Becky fight from 1992? I feel they sort of manipulated the talk they had in today's episode. Yes the talk is needed but I'm sure they would have got there themselves.

Yes they did but on re-watch, Becky is showing she hasnt learned from the talk in 1992. I doubt she is gone and will pop up in the final 3 episodes, so maybe it will be resolved, who knows

I dont think Becky is racist. She is entitled though. Like Julie said, you have to be anti racist

So They are no longer Becky's friends. Well good people would call BS on your racism. Its sad cause I had hoped Becky had grown but not surprised

    • Anyway...they literally mentioned the secret room today on Days and yes, this show needs a Kristen lesbian story lol.
    • Yes, they did a 'premiere' of Maggie's death episodes at the ArcLight theatre in Los Angeles, arguably then the nicest movie theatre chain in the USA. Plus, Suzanne and Deidre were in a ton of scenes together during this time. Whatever happened between them happened after 2004.
    • There are episodes with Jenny (Mary Ellen Stuart) that she was in pre-writers strike.. and I know that she lasts until at least August 1988. It's a shame that the show didn't try pairing her with Rusty since the two had more chemistry than she had with Ross and that he had with Rose.
    • Was that when she put on the"Slut of Springfield" red dress and made a complete ass of herself at the CC, so of course Alan fell madly in love with her on the spot?
    • Oohh...now I'm not sure. Long did come back in '87, didn't she. She broke up Ross and Vanessa almost from her first minute back. Van and Ross are at the Country Club when Josh dumps Reva. And Reva dramatically drapes herself on the CC stairs.
    • Glad you enjoyed watching. Yes, Michael seems like fun. I am always interested in more of these niche talk show appearances.
    • Thanks for the tag @DRW50
    • Upon reflection, I think you're right, their chilliness toward each other was more recent. She said women on the show in 1984 were not supportive and she still stays away from them. She seems friendly with Susan Hayes so Deidre is the only woman still around from those days, though I guess Kristian Alfonso and Leann Hunley could also qualify. And it might be someone long gone but who is still present in Suzanne's social circles.
    • I don't know.  The animosity seems to be more recent than the mid 80s.  When Maggie was a victim of the Salem Stalker i remember reading an interview with Suzanne where she said they aired the episode(s) surrounding Maggie death in a theatre and made a big deal about it.  Suzanne was very upset about being fired and Dee comforted her and said that they were making such a big deal about it because it was Suzanne/Maggie.  I cannot find the article but I will keep trying. That said Suzanne's comments on Soapy about how some of the female cast members treated her during her illness was disappointing to hear to say the least.
    • Anyway... Kristen should have a prison lesbian story arc. And then come out and become obsessed with Marlena so we can move her on from the Brady nonsense. Is that secret room still in the DiMera mansion?
