In a perfect world, the Carvers would be a major family in Salem, and Abe would be mediating sibling rivalries and turf wars. But he’s marginalized, and when they tease him with someone like Kate, a vibrant and connected character, it doesn’t excite people because there’s nowhere to go with that pairing. I especially loved the scene where she's teasing Kate. I think she and Tony are best in small doses, but I hope the show continues to bring them back periodically, not just during the holidays.
