June 17, 20223 yr Member Some people have criticized the films of Eric Rohmer as like watching paint dry, but Ma Nuit chez Maude but it was probably the blueprint for many movies about average middle class guys who find themselves ensconced in a something that can only be described as a morally compromised situation. Jean Tritignant played the slightly smug bourgeois professional (that you’re not sure you can even find likeable)who lives a bland life and wanders into that morally compromised situation seamlessly.
June 17, 20223 yr Member I never came across his work, but damn that is tragic. Only last week did Cooper Noriega, a TikTok star, pass away at 19. He had a been on a popular podcast just a day or so before, but one of his last videos, now taken down, was him lying in bed with the message "who else b thinking they gon die young af."
