Webmaster Errol Posted April 23, 2020 Webmaster Share Posted April 23, 2020 For the fourth Friday in a row, “The Young and the Restless” will re-air a classic episode. On Friday, April 24, the show returns to August 1996 for the honeymoon of Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) and Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) who have spent years trying to be together only to be separated by interlopers, rival love interests and near-death experiences. What would a soap love story be without any of those ingredients? First aired on August 21, 1996, episode #5939 features the newlyweds as they are honeymooning in a tropical paradise, blissfully unaware that their nemesis, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), is also vacationing there. Determined to have the island to herself, Phyllis finds a slimy way to spoil their trip. Back in Genoa City, Sharon and Nick Newman (Sharon Case and Joshua Morrow) plan a family dinner to share their baby news. Beginning next week, April 27, “Y&R” will air a week of themed episodes. The first week will be dedicated to the theme “Katherine the Great” — Katherine Chancellor (played famously by the beloved Jeanne Cooper). Each episode will air in “Y&R’s” regular timeslot, 12:30-1:30 p.m. EDT/11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., PDT. “The Young and the Restless” is currently out of production. The last original episode aired today, April 23. New episodes will return at an unspecified date. In case you are wondering why Phyllis was Paul and Christine’s nemesis, check out the clip below.
