If You Were Head Writer, What Would You Write?

If you became Head Writer of any of the four remaining soaps, what would you write?

 

I've read a lot of good ideas on this board, leading me to believe that many of us would do a good job, perhaps even a better job then what we see now, if we wrote for the soaps. Feel free to share.

 

Here of some examples of what I would write.

 

DAYS

-Bring back Theo and have him create some much needed conflict between Ben and Ciara. I'd have Ben, after he gets out of prison, become jealous of the relationship between Theo and Ciara. Finally, Ben, who doesn't know about Theo's autism tries to intimidate Theo, similarly to what he tried to do to Rory causing Theo to have an autistic episode, which Ciara witnesses, leading her to wonder if Ben really is the right man for her. (IMO, something like that would be the only thing that could penetrate Ciara's thick skull) She then delves into her work at Titan instead of dealing with her problems with Ben, where Theo now works too, which causes even more conflict for Ben and Ciara and draws Ciara and Theo closer together, just in time for Claire to be released from Bayview who then bonds with Ben over their similar pasts. 

-Bring back Paul, and make him more determined to get Will back. He stands by Will as Will is up for parole, leading them to reunite and move in together once Will is out of jail.  Paul helps Will cope with everything that has happened to him over the last year. Sonny, meanwhile in a relationship with Evan and is happy with him. But Evan is keeping secrets: he is the father of Jordan's baby and is also the one who killed her! Plus, he is starting to develop feelings for both Will and Paul but does not act on them, as he does love Sonny. Evan starts to panic as Rafe becomes more determined to solve Jordan's murder and find out who David's father is, and starts acting mysteriously in an attempt to cover his tracks. Sonny then wrongly believes that Evan is having an affair. Sonny, who has now convinced himself that Evan is the love of his life, proposes to Evan in an attempt to hold onto him. At the same time, Rafe discovers that Evan is David's father but not that he killed Jordan. Sonny is shocked that Evan is David's father, but is determined to not to lose him to Will or Paul and forgives him for keeping the secret. Rafe reluctantly gives up all rights to David and turns him over to Evan, but remains suspicious of him. Evan then immediately says yes to Sonny's proposal, thinking that once they are married, they can take David and leave Salem before it comes out that he killed Jordan. On the day of the wedding, Rafe finds out that Evan killed Jordan and disrupts the wedding, revealing to everyone that Evan killed Jordan. Sonny then leaves Evan at the altar and Evan is arrested. Rafe then petitions the court to once again have custody of David.

 

B&B

-Turn Brooke into Stephanie. I'd bring back RJ , who we haven't seen in God knows how long, and give him a girlfriend, one who Brooke believes is nothing but an opportunist. She is often reminded by Ridge, Eric, etc. that she is now in the same position that Stephanie was in all those years ago. Brooke finally understands why Stephanie was the way that she was as she does everything she can to try to separate RJ and his new girlfriend. However, it is later revealed that RJ is keeping a secret from everybody: he is secretly bisexual and is developing feelings for his male lab partner. Eventually, RJ comes out and is torn between the girl and the guy as he has feelings for both of them, which in turns causes conflicts within the Forrester and Logan families, as some want RJ to be with the girl, while other want RJ to be with the guy. 

 

GH 

-Have ToddFrankenDrew finally decide to have the procedure to get his memories back. However, in an unfortunate twist of fate, the procedure leaves him brain dead. Elizabeth and Scott then tearfully decided to take ToddFrankenDrew off of life support and he dies, for real! Laura then immediately calls Lucky and tells him he needs to return to Port Charles to be there for Elizabeth and her boys. At first, Lucky refuses. Laura then discovers that Lucky refuses to go back to Port Charles because in the time he's been away, he relapsed, not once but twice. He believes Elizabeth and her boys deserve someone better then him, even though he still loves all of them very much. Eventually, both Laura and Lulu break through to Lucky and he returns to Port Charles, partners with Chase at the PCPD, and tries to be a father to Cameron, Jake and Aiden. At first, it's tough on Lucky as he is often reminded of how Elizabeth cheated on him. Elizabeth, to get over Franco's death has buried herself in her work. Cameron is bitter and hateful and refuses to have anything to do with Lucky. Cameron's resentment makes Lucky want to relapse again, but he fights hard and keeps himself from doing so. Eventually, Cameron falls in with a bad crowd, who introduce him to drugs. Elizabeth, who is still heartbroken over Franco's death doesn't seem to realize what is happening to Cameron, who is now starting to become addicted. Lucky soon realizes that Cameron is an addict. He tells Elizabeth who refuses to believe it. One night Elizabeth has to go into work and leaves Cameron in charge of Jake and Aiden. While Aiden is baking something, Cameron gets high and passes out. The stove then explodes knocking out both Jake and Aiden, and starts a fire in the house. Lucky, who learns that Elizabeth left Cameron in charge, rushes to the house just in time to save Cameron, Jake and Aiden and put out the fire. However, Aiden is left comatose, which forces Cameron to get clean and Elizabeth to realize what she hasn't been seeing as a result of her grief. Lucky then blames himself for the entire situation, believing that if he had gotten through to Cameron, this would not have happened. As Lucky speaks to his comatose son, apologizing to him over what has happened, Elizabeth listens outside the door and realizes that she is still in love with Lucky and always has been. However, she doesn't hear the part when Lucky says once Aiden comes out of his coma and it is determined that he'll be ok, Lucky plans on leaving Port Charles. Aiden soon comes out of his coma and Lucky decides to leave town. He leaves Elizabeth a note, which Elizabeth reads. She rushes to find Lucky and eventually finds him. She reveals how much she still loves him but Lucky is insistent on leaving, still believing that they are better off without him. Right when Elizabeth gives up and decides to let Lucky go, Lucky realizes that he does not want to lose Elizabeth or his family again, and he starts singing "Elizabeth". They reunite and eventually remarry.

-Have it finally come out that Wiley is Jonah. Everyone gathers at Charlie's for a fundraiser organized by Bobbie and Epiphany for diabetes research. The fundraiser is a great success and after it is over, Michael, Sasha, Chase, Willow, Brad, Lucas, Wiley, Julian, Obrecht, Bobbie, Sonny and Carly stay behind to help clean up. Brad and Obrecht get into a loud argument which is overheard by everyone. It is then accidently revealed during the argument that Wiley is Jonah. Brad admits everything to the stunned crowd, resulting in both Michael and Lucas punching him out and Lucas disowning Julian for good and kicking Brad to the curb. Michael then reunites with his son. Willow, who is pregnant by Chase, realizes that her baby is actually dead, leading her to get so upset that she miscarries Chase's child. Bobbie, who is also shocked by this news, suffers a diabetic stroke. Once everyone leaves, Julian is then taunted by Obrecht, who gets so angry that he kills her. Eventually, it is discovered that Julian killed Obrecht. He pleads guilty and is sent to Pentonville. Brad becomes the town pariah. He's fired from the hospital and everyone turns their backs on him, except for Felix who grow close with him. Lucas, eventually begins dating a handsome new doctor, who turns out to be a rival of Brad's from college. Willow is devastated by the loss of her children and begins spending more and more time with Michael and Wiley/Jonah, much to the chagrin of Chase and Sasha, who grow closer. Eventually, Nelle is released from prison and start to stir up trouble for Michael, Willow, Chase and Sasha.

-Carly, after witnessing everything that happened at Charlie's realizes that secrets can destroy lives. She immediately runs to Laura and tells her that Nikolas is alive. After Laura confronts

Nikolas, she at first is devastated that he didn't tell his family that he was alive, but soon she joins forces with him and Jax to take down Valentin. Scott, who has been spending more time with Ava following Franco's death gets through to her and she tells him where the painting with the codicil is. He then tells Laura who tells Nikolas. Eventually, they find the codicil in the portrait. It leaves the entire Cassadine estate to Nikolas. Meanwhile, Nina, with Jax's help, organizes a birthday party for Valentin at the Metro Court, where she intends to dump him for lying about Sasha. Jax tells Nina that he too has plans to get back at Valentin at the party and Nina is overjoyed. On the day of the birthday party, it is revealed that Laura has called Spencer back to Port Charles and reunites him with his father. At the birthday party, Nina proposes a toast to Valentin. She then starts to lambast him as a liar and a schemer and dumps him in front of everyone. Just as Valentin tries to leave the party, Nikolas and Spencer reveal themselves and show Valentin the codicil. Valentin pulls a gun, accidently shoots Nina and takes Spencer hostage. Nina is only grazed, and her, Nikolas, Laura, Jax and many others take off in pursuit of Valentin. Valentin then drugs Spencer in an attempt to kill him and make it look like an accidental overdose. Eventually, Spencer is found and saved. Soon after, Valentin is found dead and many people, including Spencer are suspects. Eventually, the killer is revealed to be an alive Cassandra Pierce, who is then finally extradited to the Hague. Nikolas then settles back into his life as the Cassadine prince, only for Spencer to start stirring up trouble to get back at Nikolas for not telling Spencer that he was alive.
