It's very possible because there's no signs of Taylor slowing down.   "Lavender Haze" is likely to be the next official single and it's a very radio-friendly/catchy song.  Then whatever songs she decides to promote for the Speak Now and 1989 re-records during release week will also have a chance to go to #1, so that's three songs right now for 2023.   So that will bring her total to 12, moving ahead of Janet and Whitney.

Then 2024 will probably be the re-records of reputation and her debut album, so that could be another 2 #1s which would bring her total to 14, moving ahead of Madonna and tying Rihanna (assuming she never releases an album.....come on girl, we're waiitng! LOL).

Then 2025 will probably be a new album an another #1 song, so that will be 15 #1s, moving ahead of Rihanna, and only 4 behind Mariah.   I could see Taylor beating Mariah's 19 #1s before the decade is over, with the assumption she doesn't take a break for marriage and/or a baby.  Oh and there's also another potential number one with a song from her feature film directorial debut.

Perhaps, because Rihanna would have definitely moved passed Elvis and Mariah by now if she has kept up with releasing music.

Though, it's really hard to even compare a #1 in this era vs. one from the 80's and 90's. If Madonna and Janet were operating under the same chart rules as Swift and Rhianna during their commercial peaks, they likely would have had a lot more #1's. Hell, Madonna herself had 6 singles that peaked at #2 on the Hot 100, which used to be a record (maybe it still is?). Fair or not, it was a lot harder to hit #1 in that era than it is now for a super popular artist.

It was also very unusual for female artists to have huge singles success until Madonna and Whitney Houston's emergence in the mid-80's. They broke a glass ceiling of sorts that rivaled and surpassed success of male artists of that time (and before). Before Madonna scored her 10th #1 hit with 'This Used To Be My Playground' in 1992, the only female act that had amassed that many #1 hits was The Supremes in the 60's (they had 12, which would also be the amount Madonna would amass on the Hot 100).

Elvis has 7 as well, but some of those may have come in the era pre-dating the establishment of the Hot 100 or been double-sided singles. Swift would have the record in the Hot 100 era, edging out Madonna's 6 #2's. It's all very convoluted depending on what the chart rules are at the time, which is why I caution comparing artists from different eras and their commercial peaks.

It looks like radio (and the new rules, maybe) is helping "Anti-Hero" stay at #1.   This week it hit 88.5 million radio airplay audience impressions, up from 83.8 million.  With 8 weeks at #1, "Anti-Hero" passes "Blank Space" to become Taylor's longest #1 song. She's had #1s in between songs, but this is her first big hit since "Blank Space" in late 2014-early 2015.

SZA blocked by Miley! When I first heard "Flowers," I didn't think it would blow up like this.  Apparently, it's huge on TikTok?   Two years ago this month, "Drivers License" had a similar debut.  Maybe January is a good month to release breakup songs?  LOL

    • Wow, do I agree with you. Chelsea is coming off as ridiculous. All she does is look for a woman to date while not caring about her business at all. That she's bi is great, but they're not writing her like she's bi. She seems to be lesbian. Yeah, I know -- "no labels." I just don't find the writing for her story to be anything other than awkward.   -- I hope we get some diagnosis finality with Bill's trip to the hospital. I don't want to see these trips to the ER every other day. -- Naomi is going to blame herself for Bill's health problems? GMAB. -- Ashley doesn't read as a real nurse in the slightest. -- Another day, another rinse and repeat conversation with Derek and Ashley. YAWN. -- Kat is making mistakes, but she's fun to watch and listen to, regardless. -- I still think the Joey/Vanessa/Doug gambling story sucks. I know Doug is deeply in debt, but I don't like him acting this meek and submissive.  -- I'm not sure what Joey's plan was from the beginning, or why he had to seduce Vanessa at all to get his way. I'm not sure what Vanessa ever saw in Joey -- why doesn't he give her the ick? -- I'm fine with a story where Doug and Vanessa take out Joey.  -- The fades to commercials were pretty bad today.
    •   Victoria's house (that she long ago lived in with Billy) burned down (I think Aunt Jordan set ablaze?). Mariah and Tessa and baby Aria had been living in the tack house but they bought a house we've never seen and moved there. Victoria, Claire, and Cole now live in the tack house.
    • Victoria’s previous house burned down.    And I know why characters frequent Crimson Lights 3 times a day for brownies, muffins and empty mugs:   THERE’S PCP IN EVERYTHING.
    • Today was a good episode, and the week for that matter. I think they've also done a better job with background music. The scenes in todays episode weren't as silent as they usually are in the background and it was noticeable. I think the show has found its groove well and I'm still invested.
    • Garneau was in the Liberal party and his riding was in Montreal. He was the first Canadian in outer space.
    • I agree. I really have enjoyed this story from the beginning. I feel like it needed the time for us to care about Doug. They've done a nice job of explaining his motives and making me care for him. I still feel like he's doomed and Vanessa will end up being a widow and now I'm invested in that *not* happening now that I've fallen for him. Friday was good but so was the entire week. I think they're doing such a nice job of keeping things moving. We got good movement with Bill's story this week, Chelsea is attempting to date, Andre and Dani are having tough conversations about their relationship, of course Anita reunited with Sharon. There is *so* much going on and I didn't even cover all of it.  I wish all of the soaps would take a page out of BTG book and start rotating their stories. I love that everybody is getting a chance to shine and they don't just sit on one lead story to the point you get sick of it.
    • Did Jordan Clarke have a departure sometime between 1985 and 1989? I know Robert Newman had three runs: 1981-1984, 1986-1991, 1993-end.
    • Well, they usually weren't on the show at the time for long until the late 90's. But yeah, they really deserved a story centered on them, and not through the lens of Reva.
    • Chelsea was doing the absolute most today! Why was she introducing her sister to a woman she doesnt know? That whole scene was embarrassing. Madison needs to stay away from her bc she is too immature
    • Gosh, what a waste with Lunacy. Why have her live with $B, reveal Finn, pardon her, etc What makes this story incredibly hollow is that what Luna is asking isn't unreasonable - to spend time with her cousin father. She's not asking to move in with them. How hard with it be for Finn to throw her a bone by, say, I'll meet you for lunch/coffee once at week at the hospital cafeteria. Lunacy isn't going to hurt Finn. In fact, all her crimes were related to finding her father and it turns out to be someone she's loved her entire life. Instead of course-correcting the nonsense of last summer, Brad somehow found a way to make this worse! That's a skill... Of all the younger actors B&B has cast during the past 5 years, LY has shown the most growth and range. Why get rid of her?
