I certainly never bought Tognoni as Phyllis and to me Stafford is the definitive Phyllis but I'm shocked that Y&R dumped her so effortlessly.

Same...I wonder if they are bringing her back to pair her again with Bergman? Lawd I hope they don't pair her with Morrow....talk about finger nails scratching on chalkboard....

Im surprised SONY agreed after how Stafford trashed YR in 2013

I dug her in the role. She could be a little too hard at times but she's always given effort and an interesting performance IMO., and she's been one of the main ladies carrying the show on her back this past decade. I think she fit in the role best when they had her paired with Jack and with red hair, the Philly stuff was a double edged sword. I think it was real obvious with Summer's last return that someone in the writers room was yearning for Stafford back in the role but Gina still rose to the occasion and did great work.

 

Jason Thompson will probably be next.

This is stunning. Gina is one of the show’s strongest dramatic performers. I love Gina, but she always should have been Victoria and she is too young to play Daniel’s mother. She also never had chemistry with Joshua Morrow. I enjoyed Gina with Peter Bergman, but the Billy pairing just never made sense to me storywise. I hope Jason Thompson is next to go.

 

I could see Gina doing well on B&B if Brad Bell had an attention span.

I like him as an actor but he is totally miscast as Billy.

 

My wish is for Amelia to be next and they somehow bring back Heather Tom as Victoria.
