I'd forgotten it ran 10 seasons. 

 

I do think there is a certain stridency (not the right word) that dates the early (and best) years, but I feel like we're heading back to that place now, in our culture, so it holds up better.

Diane English did mention that they intentionally haven't written the last 3 episodes of the season yet in an effort to stay topical. 

 

I wonder if Diane will tackle the Les Moonves situation. Though, I guess she probably had a better working relationship with him than Linda Bloodworth Thomason.

The first big premiere night of the season (last night) was pretty soft ratings-wise, so I’m interested in how this does.

Even if it runs just one season, I'm grateful for the chance to revisit Murphy in these troubling times.

I frankly expected it to be a bit creaky. I'm still gonna watch and judge for myself. I hope it does well.
