You forgot the actress who plays Caroline. Was she featured in Dec?  Clifton has double the episodes that Jacob Young has....just tragic. Even JM has more episodes. Its a sad day for Myron when Pam has more episodes than you...LOL  And by JM....I mean John McCook.

Year-End TRIVIA:

# This is the first year, Jacquelinne McInnes Wood has lead the show. She was in the top 5 in 2009, 2011 and 2012.

# 2016 marks the HIGHEST number of episodes for John McCook since 2008 when he appeared in 147 episodes...

# 2016 marked a year for drastic drops for Karla Mosley (142 -> 70) and Ashley Brewer (166 -> 26) who led the yearly chart 2015 and is now recurring

# Heather Tom, Jacqueline McInnes Wood and Scott Clifton have joined the elusive club of actors & actresses appearing in 1000+ episodes on the show. They are likely to be followed in 2017 by Don Diamont who appeared in 989 episodes so far.

The all-time milestone chart should be like this as of December 31, 2016 (as I don’t have any ep counts for roughly seven seasons/1500 episodes, these are estimates):

- 5000 episodes: Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke)

- 4000 episodes: Ronn Moss (ex-Ridge)

- 3000 episodes: Susan Flannery (ex-Stephanie) and John McCook (Eric)

- 2000 episodes: Hunter Tylo (ex-Taylor)

- 1000 episodes: Darlene Conley (ex-Sally), Daniel McVicar (ex-Clarke), Bobbie Eakes (ex-Macy), Winsor Harmon (Thorne), Adrienne Frantz (ex-Amber), Jack Wagner (ex-Nick), Heather Tom (Katie), Jacqueline McInnes Wood (Steffy) and Scott Clifton (Liam)

# as he longest running recurring actor on B&B, Dan Martin has now played resident police man Lt. Bradley Baker in 158 episodes since joining the show in Spring 1997. He didn't appear in 1999, 2000, 2005 and 2014.

# with one additional appearance in 2016, Andrew Collins who is recurring as snotty reporter Jarrett has now been on B&B for a total of 13 years and appeared in a total of 126 episodes.

@dmarex I have a couple questions for when I put some episode counts together: If a character appears only through flashbacks in an episode, does it count as an appearance?

Also, if an actor is playing two characters, do you list them separately, or do you add up the number of appearances and then specify how many from each character?

Thank you!

And they have the nerve to call it a classic...the same sh!t with the awful triangle instead of airing an 80's William Bell episode.  They continue the trash

What a waste. Made a fuckin big deal about who her father was and he just drops it after the reveal. Bradley Bell is one hack writer.

If they appear in a flashback (using scenes from previous episodes) it doesn't count as an appearance. Only new footage counts. If it were a flashback containing newly never-seen-before scenes (usually some sort of a retcon), then yes.

    • First, let me say I love reading all of your takes and thoughts. They always provide a different point of view... a breath of fresh air... in this sometimes stuffy topic.

You've inspired me to add my 2 cents about this product placement debacle.  I absolutely HATE the way they are doing product placement in BTG. I really hope this doesn't catch on or evolve into more and more of these moments. It's incredibly off-putting to place them in a highly dramatic moment where we are still on the emotional journey with the character. What is next - Dani spraying the house while having a nervous breakdown? It makes me not want to buy the product they're selling. LOL. That's just me.
    • I always get the vibe that Martin/Smitty have an emotional abusive relationship set up... but I doubt the show will really go there with that element given that Martin is a Dupree (and we can't have the Duprees be portrayed in a negative light), and because it's a gay male relationship.   Even though abuse in the physical or emotional sense is a huge thing in a lot of gay and lesbian relationships. The Ashley/Naomi scene reads off to me for one reason....  Ashley was talking about the new scandal without any sort of mention and/or subtext.. considering she knew both Silk Press Sheila and Eva.  I'm not sure if the writers have forgotten, if Jen Jacobs isn't able to play subtext, or what.   It's just apparent the writers do not know how to write a young white millennial couple.. and perhaps they need to get a younger white script writer to be on staff... or let the actors play around with the lines to make them more natural/realistic.
    • This is as good a time as any to point out that the 90 minute show was, what I like to call  "cockamamie idea" of Fred Silverman, head of NBC Daytime Programming. He did so well at ABC & CBS but not so NBC. We learned this from a WOST interview with Pete Lemay, 2006, can be found on YouTube, audio only. Now, to be clear, Rauch was completely behind it. Only Lemay fought against it & eventually quit over it.
    • She was so wonderful. Glad your handle has been a tribute to her.
    • Hopefully Alan has learned to not interrupt or interject with pointless information while someone is in the middle of telling a story. I almost think it would be better if Alan was a producer behind the scenes.. and he just had the actors on screen talking and asking one another questions.  Those interviews tend to work better.
    • It was only recently announced that Denise Alexander passed away on March 5, 2025. She was my all time favorite actress and role model. She will be dearly missed.  Denise Alexander, ‘General Hospital' and ‘Days of Our Lives' Actress, Dies at 85
    • Hopefully Alan will actually read the book beforehand.

    • Am I the only one who immediately thinks of this every time someone mentions Smitty?
