DAYS: Casting call

DAYS is seeking a gorgeous African American male in this late 20s to play the role of Levi. Levi is described as “everything a woman could want in a man — he is funny, quick-witted, protective, intelligent and makes an honest living working hard and loving what he does. He can come off as edgy not angry.” The recurring role  — with possibility of contract — will begin taping in late August, to air in 2017.

I'm sure the character will somehow be white or written out before he even airs.  This show is in Hospice now, and I'd like the suffering to end.

The next Cameron.

Just a suggestion: Make him Abe's never-before-mentioned nephew, the son of Jonah.

so he can get as much airtime as Lani?

I completely forgot that this character ever existed. That will be their next plan to save Days... bringing back Jay Leno.

That totally went over my head at first. I forgot about the original Cameron. I only remembered Devious Maids-Cameron.

I'd prefer for DAYS to not even try anymore. Just don't. Don't do us any favors by casting us (African Americans that is). This show does nothing but use Black characters as window dressing before tossing them aside. Poor James Reynolds (Abe), who is a longstanding cast member can't even get a story anymore. Hell, when was the last time he had one? They don't do anything with Theo. Lani was a flop and then tossed out the door ... enough! Stick to the WASPy characters if that's all they know how to write. I'm over begging these shows to diversify their casts.

No, bring back the original! I'm sure he can't *still* be stripping in WeHo, right? :)

They get a few scenes with Abe and are then fired!

Exactly. And it'll be scenes doing nothing but being supporting to all the other characters on the canvas.

I know James Reynolds still wishes Generations was on. At least there, he got showcased and was never in the background. That show was so ahead of it's time.

Well, they can't write for their white characters, they stereotype the latinos, they don't use their single gay... they pretty much can't write. Period.
