Did you guys give up on this show already?  It's really entertaining.

The Cheeks fought with the twins last week.  Hilarious!

Minnie admitted to lying about Pastor Troy.  She was tired of everyone having a boyfriend but her.  She's really a sweetheart.  She and Miss Juicy made up.

Nope. I watched them scrap last week. :P

Did you see one of the twins sucker punch the pregnant cheek in the stomach when she was pulling her by the hair? OMG. But I can't pity the cheeks b/c they were asking for it by insulting the girls for being waitresses.

I knew Minnie was lying and it only hurt her standing amongst the group. I see her and Monie clashing down the road and that will serve as a catalyst.

I was out of the country for a while but Im back now and marathoning through the shows I missed. Just saw the entire season of this and its a winner!

Monie finally admitted the truth. What a liar! Its one thing to suspect she's lying but I didnt expect to see it on the show. She looked so ridiculous and I loved her mother ripping into her. I cant believe she also lied to her mother.

Brie has a baby with a man name Wooda. WOODA. Im glad she finally got a backbone adn decided to give up on him

I really dont like Emily, after initially liking her. That fight in the club was instigated by her and her Left Cheek. They were coming for the twins and she was using her pregnancy to act a fool bc she thought it would protect her

Monie....she does the most. Ive also changed my mind about her. She's hard headed and kinda stupid, not to mention lazy and selfish. She and Morlin are not married. They arent even engaged or have kids so why the heck does she expect him to support her financially? I dont see how pursuing a voiceacting career takes up 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. Oh right it doesnt, so her ass needs to go get a job

The twins were messy but I found them adorable. They are the only ones I truly liked from beginning to end.

Juicy should have been more of a cast member. Its too bad her role was so limited but she gave us alot when we did see her.

When Minnie was on the phone with her dad and she goes "This is Ashley." I was like Ashley? Bitch is even lying about her name!

I didnt think this would have a reunion but its going to messy as they have Pastor Troy! When I heard his name, I thought it was a fakeout but we saw him n the clip. Cant wait to hear what lies Minnie will spin

She's a lame ass liar! What a pathetic reason to tell such a lie

There are never really good reasons to lie.  Minnie owned it and apologized.  Why Monie have to continue to bring it up is completely beyond me.  Minnie's lie had nothing to do with Monie assaulting Juicy.  There was no reason to touch Juicy!

I feel terrible for this young woman, but I'm super happy she is fine if her father does not come around.

And BTW, Minnie's real name is Ashley!

nah I think Monie had reason to be mad bc the lie did fuel her issues with Juicy. She was defending Minnie based on that lie. She was wrong but she'd have never thrown that drink had she not thought Juicy had malicious intent towards Minnie

i know her name is Ashley but that's my point. This whole time she led us to believe it was Minnie with her lying ass. I figure now it was a nickname and that was just me throwing a joke bc she's been known this season as a liar

I didn't.  You are determined to hate Minnie and that's fine.  I didn't think much of her from the beginning but I feel for her.  She's always been the odd person out and her father's abandonment made it worse.  She lied and owned it.  I'm ok with that.  Ultimately, Minnie's lie didn't hurt anyone but only served to make her look like a fool.

As far a the viewers thinking her name was Minnie, so what?  I don't believe it was a big deal to her or she would not have allowed them to air her real name.  Keep hatin tho.

Good lord. IT WAS A JOKE! I already clarified that in case it wasn't clear originally. You are the one that can't grasp that or let it go. It wasn't meant to be this serious. Again I was making a play on her storyline , hence the joke about her name.

    • One thing I thought about is if Hayley will have a reaction to Bill threatening to kidnap and sell a baby. That's another level of viciousness and with her just having thought she was pregnant it might make her feel some type of way.
    • You're welcome. Fall 1982-Spring 1985 was the peak of primetime soaps. What a time to have been alive.
    • 1990/91 Cheers, Roseanne, A Different World, The Cosby Show, Empty Nest, The Golden Girls were still Top 10 shows, and Murphy Brown and Designing Women became Top 10 shows. It was the following season that I think was the transition season for sitcoms.
    • @xtr I loved Martin in Thursday's episode, he was almost a different character. I thought he was flirty, funny, carefree, and giggly. Glad I have someone to share my top 2 women(Nicole and Eva) with, I agree Nicole is the heart of the Dupree family, and also the heart of the show IMO. We rode into the show on the passenger side of her car, lol. What I am enjoying the most about the show, is that they did such a great job character building, because all I care about is the CHARACTER journey. Nicole, Eva, Leslie, Dani, Chelsea, etc. very invested in what's coming next. I even feel that way about Mona, Shanice, and Doug.
    • I know we have discussed the fact that Another World seemed to be planning a location shoot in Finland that got cancelled. I came across this item from the syndicated Soapbox column published June 14, 1982. "Soap operas have been experimenting extensively with on-location shooting in recent years to enhance storylines and increase their viewing audience. A major drawback is the added production costs involved. Another World, for example, cancelled a special trip for Victoria Wyndham (Rachel Cory on the show), who was scheduled to shoot scenes in Finland. The producers felt that the high price tag, along with resentment of the cast members who also wanted to travel but were to be left behind. was enough to scrap the whole project."
    • A few more thoughts about these last two episodes. I thought it was interesting how much disdain both Dani/Anita have for Eva. I thought it was amusing how Dani was calling her lying/conniving and how Anita pointed as if to say, "that part". They definitely are not here for her, and I could see them having harsh confrontations with her in addition to Leslie. I'm curious to see Kat's interaction with Eva on Monday's episode. I think it might be interesting if Kat (along with possibly Naomi/Chelsea) come around to Eva before Dani/Anita do. Of course, Kat will be understandably angry at her. But maybe a tiny part of her might feel sorry for her if she really does believe that she's Ted's daughter as well and that Leslie lied to her. I could see Kat confronting Eva again and warning her not to harm her family anymore. But I could also possibly see Kat admitting that what Ted/Leslie did regarding her was messed up as well. And maybe that will pave the way down the line for them to get along better. I also agree with the comments/speculation made in the threat that Nicole will eventually accept/probably love her someday as well. I still wouldn't mind if somehow Nicole ended up being her biological mother. They have both been acting like they care for each other in this storyline. Nicole somehow ending up being her mother would be soapy and provide some more interesting layers in this story. And regarding Andre/Dani's romance it seems like they are genuinely developing feelings for each other. I have missed episodes, so maybe more of this has been elaborated on. But it seemed like there was genuine affection between both of them when they snuck a kiss publicly in the hotel. And also, them both talking about going publicly with their relationship. I wonder what everyone's reactions will be should they be caught by someone together. Of if they flat out tell everyone about their relationship.
    • I was wondering what week it was, and it explains the low rating for Knots Landing. I was also wondering what preempted Dallas and Falcon Crest.
    • Interesting take on Dallas. Frankly I think the plot of JR Returns should have been the way Dallas ended but for whatever reason they thought they had the chance to get renewed for another season lol. A week later Knots’ 2 hour season finale ranked at #10 against Cheers #3 and LA Law at #5. There’s only a handful of other shows running that long and still doing well enough the ratings/rankings i.e. Gunsmoke, Law & Order, NCIS, Grey’s Anatomy and more recently Blue Bloods.    Another point of interest is the unraveling of the 80’s sitcoms had already begun in the spring of ‘91. The first part of a Who’s The Boss? two part season finale we see here ranked at  #40 and second part ranked at #43 the following week. Growing Pains finale the previous week barely made it into the Top 30. The Wonder Years fared no better. Cosby losing ground, Night Court and Dear John just being there etc.
