I'd actually return to B&B if they went with "Starter" - While LSV isn't the greatest actor, he is EONS about Zende/Thomas/Spam/Gomer Pyle. I do think the steam would be incredible and they could actually play the Maya jealousy card pretty naturally as an added bonus. LSV certainly deserves a shot a more screentime. Is he still writing for the show?

Spam and Gomer are just supporting characters but Thomas and Zende have not impressed me at all. I would have recast long time ago or just written both of them out. Thomas has never worked for unknown reasons….sometimes writing….sometimes acting…sometimes both.

And I would also write off dreadful Ivy.

Well, technically neither Bill nor Katie have storylines either but that doesn't stop them from having scenes scattered throughout episodes of the show. LSV has written an episode for B&B before, well, maybe he can just write a storyline for Carter too.

One Life to Live Tribute Thread

Well... this morning... inspired by OLTL's Anna Karenina storyline (Viki and Sloan), I decided that I'm craving a re-read of the book. The last time I read it... I must have been 13 or 14... so 16 years have passed, and I don't remember much of it. Then I find out there are 11 different translations in English. Here I was, spending a whole hour sampling different translations of the book before I settled on the... David Magarshack version, which felt more fitting for the melodramatic... soap opera nature of the novel. Some of the most popular versions felt a bit too stiff and artificial for my taste. I need to feel the pathos and the drama dripping from every page! I don't want to see commas where they don't belong. So... thank you, Malone and team, for inspiring me to return to one of my favorite novels. The edition is already ordered and should arrive sometime before Christmas. It cost me 1.50 euros for a 1000-page book in pristine condition. This is what good soap operas do; they draw inspiration from many sources, great works that have stood the test of time... and they also INSPIRE people to watch more, read more... Great art is often... if not always, in conversation with other great art.

DAYS: December 2025 Discussion Thread

Lots of good ideas on here about how to refocus the show in the last few days!
I know most people on this thread have problems with Leo, Alex, Cat, Rafe, Susan etc. They are problems lol, but I think Stephanie is almost a larger problem. Days centers so much of the show around her and her romances, but she's not a good leading character. She has no depth. She's a very nice girl with poor taste in men and a writing hobby. ZZzzzz..... Abigail Klein is very pretty and seems likeable enough, but she certainly isn't dynamic or interesting. Characters like Jada, Chanel, Gabi and even Belle are much more layered, and they get less than half the material Stephanie does.

DAYS: December 2025 Discussion Thread

Today was a bit of a mixed bag.
It wasn't exactly boring, but everything just felt so low energy. Playing a lot of things like a big joke didn't help much either. Days does not need comic relief as much as some people think it does.
And yeah, Susan just needs to be killed off. I'm tired of her.
Everything surrounding Alex and Stephanie was ok, but it reeked of no budget. Alex and Stephanie can't come into contact with anybody due to potential exposure, but they evacuated to a public town square and then had a nice long conversation with Steve and Kayla? OK 😂😂😂
Maybe this would have been better if it had played out for a little longer. But I'm interested in seeing this all play out, even though I think they're missing the mark by not having Jeremy and his feud with Alex play a bigger part in all of this.
As for the Dimeras in the crypt, I felt the same way about those scenes today like I did on Friday: I'm not that big a fan of the storyline as a whole but I did enjoy Chad and EJ's scenes together. I like the way they went from EJ comforting Chad over the custody suit to Chad accusing EJ of being responsible for kidnapping everyone. It's an interesting dynamic between the two of them that I wouldn't mind playing into future storylines.
I wouldn't mind them returning to this style at all. All the elements are there for Days to return to this in 2026, especially with so many characters being weaved into the Dimera stuff.
Chris Whitesell was co-head writer during both of those years. Days should try to lure him back.

Tells Britt to agree with Dalton and let him believe she is on his side. 11/6/2025 -- tells Marco he's too invested in the piers to lose; brings Pascal on as his butler. 11/7/2025 -- Discusses art for Wyndemere as well as Sonny with Ava. 11/13/2025 -- Britt needs Shi%well to reign Dalton in, he's out of control. 11/14/2025 -- with Jordan and Marco at Ava's gallery; Jordan gets reamed by Trina while Sidwell sends Marco to observe Rocco's hearing; 11/18/2025 -- Marco tells his father that Dalton's hubris is jeopardizing all of their plans. Tells her he pulls the strings from now on. installs Ezra as her contact.   12/5/2025 -- After twirling his moustache at Laura's house, S#!%well arrives at Sonny's to turn the knife about Dalton's body pictures. He's taking the piers and Sonny will be doing his bidding for the foreseeable futue 12/10/2025 -- tells Felicia, BLQ and Lucy that they will take anything he imports with his piers to reinvigorate poor Deception The ladies are "on to him", but agree, for now

He needs to start facing the family. 11/4/2025 -- worried about the Q's losing the house to Drew. 11/5/2025 -- visits the mansion to help the Q's pack their belongings because of Drew. Gio has a great talk with Ned. When Ned exits, he gets into a tiff with Drew and collapses. 11/11/2025 -- Gio and Emma are headed to campus, but come across Ned having a heart attack. Gio gives Ned CPR while Emma grabs the Britch from Bobbie's. Gio and Emma follow his grandfather to the hospital. 11/12/2025 -- As Gio worries about Ned and thinks it will be too late, Emma tells her it isn't too late. He saved Ned, she reminds him, and the doctors will save Ned. 11/13/2025 -- Gio and Emma speak with Dante, who is proud of Gio for the CPR. Gio and Emma hear the news about the break-in and go to Sonny, telling him they wanted the kids to cause a diversion, but they went through with the break-in. 11/14/2025 -- Gio and Emma are dealing with the guilt from the kid's reak-in. Emma blamers herself because there were no animals, while Gio wants to come forward. 11/17/2025 -- goes to see Dante and admits his part in the kids break-in. Dante rips into him, worried about Rocco. Emma explains it was her fault, and Dante continues to spew venom at both, not necessarily meaning for it to come out that way. 11/19/2025 -- good news regarding Ned; worried when he sees Joss flirting with Dalton, and goes over to "save her". After Emma throws a drink at scummy Dalton. Dalton is not worth it to him. 11/21/2025 -- with Sonny discussing Rocco and how Dante doesn't care for him. Michael arranges a meeting between Gio and BLQ at the hospital. She knows he wasn't responsible for Rocco's choice and tells him Dante erupts when he's worried. Gio calls BLQ mom. 12/1/2025 -- Gio shows up at the mansion for Thanksgiving. While the Q's bring the dinner Chase made to the hospital to take care of the staff -- the way Monica would; Gio stays with Ned and they bond. 12/2/2025 -- Taking the pizza boxes out and runs into BlQ. The two bond some more (finally).   12/3/2025 -- Emma and Gio meet at the Brown Dog to talk recon on Dalton's lab.They bring the dogs from the lab to Sonny's house  12/4/2025 -- Emma and Gio show up at Sonny's house with a gaggle of dogs that they rescued from Dalton's hidden lab. Rocco is there because of his fight with Dante, who shows up. Ric tells them that they are compromising Rocco's freedom, because they broke the law. Rocco wants his dad to let it go... Figured out that Portia is pregnant; not happy to hear they are getting a divorce. 11/26/2025 -- out to dinner with Curtis and she wants to know when he's getting back together with Portia. Confronts Drew for his misdeeds. 12/1/2025 -- cooking a sweet potato casserole and glad tha Jordan accepted her invitation -- Trina is not. Then Trina overhears Stella and Marshall talking about Portia's pregnancy... 12/2/2025 -- Trina tells Stella that Curtis and Jordan are involved, so Stella asks Marshall what he knows. Marshall admits he knew about Jordan, and that Curtis knows what he's doing. Stella will have none of that! Both are upset that Curtis is heading to the police station

They go to find Britt's purse for the key fob.  11/12/2025 -- Charlotte, Danny and Rocco break into Dalton's Lab. Dalton comes in and Rocco makes noise and gets caught to save Danny and Charlotte.  11/13/2025 --Danny and Charlotte go to Britt and Jason after Rocco is taken into custody. Charlotte tells him he has to tell the truth, though, since they have to hide what they are up to with Gio and Emma. 11/3/2025 -- sets off to try and get the key fob from Britt 11/4/2025 -- upset that Britt snapped at him; bumps into Sidwell.   11/11/2025 -- Charlotte Danny and Rocco decide to break into the lab, since the mayoral debate is that night. They go to find Britt's purse for the key fob. 11/12/2025 -- Charlotte, Danny and Rocco break into Dalton's Lab. Dalton comes in and Rocco makes noise and gets caught to save Danny and Charlotte. 11/13/2025 --Dalton manhandles him, dragging him to the mayoral debate where Rocco is arrested with the key fob. 11/14/2025 -- won't let Gio come forward. Goes into the hearing expecting the deal that Ric and Justine made but was framed for destroying the lab and carted off to Juvie. 11/24/2025 -- Dante visits Rocco and tells him to behave. When Sonny visits later, Rocco has been roughed up. It could have been people that hate Dante or Sonny -- or guards (but it was S#!%well) 11/25/2025 -- visited in Juvie by Britt, who demands a first aid kit and threatens the guard. Lulu sees his wounds and Nathan takes custody of Rocco back to the station. Justine fat-tracks an arraignment to get him home for Thanksgiving. 11/26/2025 -- Lulu brings Rocco home. He serves her homemade lasagna and she lets him know she'll get him eventually -- arrest him, that is... 11/10/2025 -- shows up on Sonny's doorstep. Had a flat tire down the road. eats cookies. 11/14/2025 -- makes a plea deal with Ric for Rocco. Dalton shows up with "evidence" that Rocco destroyed the lab and exposed the campus to hazardous materials (all fabricated). Amends the charges to felonies. 11/17/2025 -- a conversation with Sonny about Rocco involves the evidence of a break-in supplied by Dalton. Sonny asks her if she believed the boy crying "I didn't do anything like that" could possibly be guilty. She promises to do what she can to find the truth.  11/24/2025 -- Justine quizzes Nathan about whether Dalton came in for questions. Nathan says no, and the two await a CSI report to prove Rocco's innocence. 11/25/2025 -- angry that Nathan removed Rocco from custody of Juvie, until he mentions Rocco's injuries. Justine arranges for an immediate arraignmet and tells Rocco he will be home that night. 12/9/2035 -- checks in with Mac about Maxie's progress; asks Mac if he thinks Dalton could have been killed by Sonny. Mac says yes, but they would never find Dalton's body... 12/10/2025 -- with Nathan, realizes Curtis met with Sellina Wu, brings him in to question him. After seeing footage of Wallow inDrew's neighborhood the night of the shooting, she lets Curtis out. Calls Alexis and sends her the evidence.

Police arrest Rocco with the key fob. 11/14/2025 -- shows up at the PCPD with fabricated proof that makes Rocco look guilty of damage. Convinces Justine to up the charges. 11/17/2025 -- Harrasses Laura at the polls. She goes viral after threatening him for coming for her family. Slapped by Laura 11/19/2025 -- getting S#!tfaced at the Brown Dog. Vaughn calls in Joss to work him. He reveals he has an off-campus lab where he experiments on animals. Approaches Emma, who lets him have it, revealing she destroyed his ab at Berkeley and she'll expose him again! He rants and she throws a cocktail in his face. Vaughn butts in and flashes his badge. Tells Dalton to appear at the WSB Office in the a.m. Dalton heads to S@!%well's and mouths off to Britch and Jenz. Jenz kills him. 11/20/2025 -- his demands on Sidwell end with a bullet in front of Britt. His body is found in Laura's trunk, by Laura! 11/21/2025 -- Last date seen in Laura's trunk Buh-bye!

Ronnie has to acquiesce. 10/29/2025 -- Tracy comes with an apology, but Ronnie replies that she's sold the house. Olivia, Ned and Tracy are disgusted when she reveals she sold it to Drew. Tracy tells her Monica's wishes have been denigrated, and that Ronnie is ... basically despicable.. Ronnie struggles when Drew arrives. 10/31/2025 -- calls Brennan "Joey?" (gagging) at Bobbie's. meets Carly. Gio guilts her, as does Michael as Drew and Martin hand her papers to sign. 11/3/2025 -- after Outback takes off with the papers, Ronnie refuses to sign them. She won't go against Monica's wishes. Tracy arrives with the real will, the one Monica hid amongst Alan's diplomas. When it is revealed that Tracy, not Michael, has inherited the mansion. Ronnie points the finger at Martin. He came to her with the fake will, but she refused -- until Tracy was rotten to her. Ronnie admits it felt good to stick it to Tracy, but she couldn't put Monica's loved ones through this. Martin seethes as his plan is destroyed. He owed Tracy this for putting his ex-wives together and sending him to jail in California. The Q's choose against reporting Martin to the police. They leave him to a higher power... 11/4/2025 -- got money for a house in Duke's County. Tracy throws her out and the Q's leave with her 11/6/2025 -- goes to the mansion to speak with Tracy. Tracy half-asses an apology until Ronnie tells her to "Put a sock in it, Tracy" Tracy needs her to repeat it. Monica always said that phrase. Ronnie says they always said it to one another as kids. Tracy reels into sincere apologies and Ronnie heads to Bobbie's. Gio takes her to the airport

Lucs requests some food from Pascal. As they are chatting, Chaes arrives to search the compound for Valentin, but doesn't find him (he's not there) Marco and Lucas go up to bed, but Lucas wakes up alone. Marco is thanking Pascal for hiding any of Jenz's secret plans. 12/10/2025 -- With Jenz, Lucy, BLQ and Felicia; brings Anna food in her current prison

Furious when Rocco is sent to juvie.   11/17/2025 -- Emma and Britch have a long overdue heated discussion. Britt blames Emma for Rocco breaking into the lab. Britt assumes Rocco was just pretending to like her, but Emma lets her know that Rocco felt guilty about the fob... He cares about Britt. 11/18/2025 -- Britt asks Jason to let Danny come forward to save Rocco, but he explains about Drew wanting to have Danny locked up. 11/19/2025 -- At Sidwells to demand he help her with Rocco. They reveal he took her when she "died" and deposited her at the 5 Poppies. She needs him for medication. When she barks at Dalton in the parlor he mouths off at her and S#!%well, Jenz shoots him in front of her. 11/20/2025 -- after watching Jenz shoot Dalton. Orders ther guard to get a first aid kit and threatens him if Rocco even gets a hangnail. Runs to S#!%well about Rocco's situation and realizes Jenz was behind the attack! 12/4/2025 -- at the Brown Dog. Uses Cody to upset ason, and Molly sees her kiss Cody, leading to wrong concluions... 12/5/2025 -- Jason assist a drunk Britch home and gives her her medication. 12/9/2025 -- hung over. Jason reminds her what she forgot, including her medicine. Marco tells her to get back to work. 12/11/2025 -- with Dr. Navarro delivering a baby, Portia sends for Britt to see her. Without a license, Britt relies on Lucas to order tests. Despite his dislike of Britch, he offers her a recommendation for her license because she is a good doctor. 12/12/2025 -- Walks into her apartment to find Jason going throuhher meds. He offers to have the meds reverse engineered to help her.She refuses.

Discusses James staying with the girls and Spinelli. Understands -- for now; bonds with James. Meets Cody. 11/11/2025 -- Dante (newly appointed temporary Commissioner) calls Nathan in and hires him, appointing him to be Chase's new partner; 11/13/2025 -- back to work and meets Chase, learns about Judge Heran's murder. Uncuffs Rocco when he is with Lulu. Tells Britt she shouldn't be at the police station. 11/14/2025 -- in court with Britt to support Rocco. 11/17/2025 -- with Laura at the polls. tells her he had Rocco separated in a single room, away from general population. Learns that Dalton never mentioned the lab being destroyed when he dragged Rocco physically to the debate... 11/18/2025 -- the officer that Charlotte and Danny confess to. 11/19/2025 -- Nathan believes the kids and sends CSIs to the lab for proof Rocco did any damage. Calls Alexis, Jason and Lulu in. 11/21/2025 -- comes across Laura and her flat tire at mile marker 8 and offers to help. Sonny arrives and Nathan is called away. Sonny calls Jason after Nathan leaves. 11/24/2025 -- Justine quizzes Nathan about whether Dalton came in for questions. Nathan says no, and the two await a CSI report to prove Rocco's innocence. 11/25/2025 -- goes to Juvie and removes Rocco back to the precinct. When ADA Turner confronts him about removing Rocco, Nathan asks her if she wanted to be known for prosecuting kids that get attacked in Juvie. She makes arrangements to arraign Rocco and have him sent home. 11/26/2025 -- Happy to hear Rocco was released. Goes through the other potential suspects with Dante. 12/1/2025 -- shows up briefly at Wallow and Drew's wedding, but leaves to bring Curtis in for questioning. 12/2/2025 -- discusses the night of the shooting with Curtis and his lack of alibi. 12/3/2025 -- continues to question Curtis 12/8/2025 -- reports the escaped prisoner to Dante -- It's Valentin. Dante assigns him to protect Lulu and the kids. 12/9/2025 -- Dante appreciates his friend keeping an eye on Charlotte and Lulu. 12/10/2025 -- finds Sellina Wu on Curtis' Savoy tapes. Nathan and Justine question him about the ;lie in his statement 12/11/2025 -- searches Curtis' office with a warrant finds a mislabeled video from surveillance from the night of Drews shooting. 12/12/2025 -- after seeing the incriminating footage of Willow; Nathan calls Nina in to tell her the news.
