Members koos Posted December 17, 2015 Members Share Posted December 17, 2015 Maybe it's because I'm too young to really remember them the first time around, but Justin and Adrienne just didn't seem like contract-worthy characters. They could have been, with good writing, but you know. I haven't watched since September, but Adrienne came across as a nag (like every over 40 female on the show, pretty much) the past few years, and Justin, well... it's like they wanted us to absolutely hate him this year. The thing is, they were gone for so long that fans who began watching anytime after the early 90's have no investment in them. To some, they are merely the sibling (she, to Jack or Steve) or the relative (he, to Victor, Brady, etc.) of characters who've been on the canvas consistently for years. Or, heck, they're just "Sonny's parents." They could definitely benefit as supporting players who are always popping in and out on occasion, without the "need" of giving them an actual storyline. Who knows, perhaps their time to shine will arrive again one day. After all, Suzanne Rogers was on the sidelines for at least 20 solid years, and the poor thing was a part of the contract cast the entire time.
