It really made me mad to see people like Rafe who didn't even know her passing judgement on her based on her past. Plus all those people calling her a pornstar as if she did porn willingly. 

It's not that I ever disliked nuChad per    se, I just found it nearly impossible to reconcile the fact that he was the same character.  With time, I've grown to accept that this is Chad, though he still feels like a different character to me.  I've also really hated Ben from jump street, so I guess I kind of went into hyper embrace of Chad.

Everyone is tortured, maimed, crying, dying...it's really sick but it's oddly entertaining/gripping.

 

Well, that's DAYS for you: from family drama, to high romance, to low-brow camp, to torture porn.

Yeah, Days has always been this (at least from the first Reilly years onward --when I first started watching Days). hahah. James E. Reilly might have the first one to bring this kind of tradition to Days.  

I saw no point to the original version of Chad so I'm glad that they introduced Billy Flynn and reworked the character - I really enjoy him

 

The Daniel and Fynn (Finn? Flynn? What is his name again?) is awful. I don't care about some age-old rivalry they have going on or them acting like they're 21 year old frat bros

Unpopular opinion, I know, but I enjoy Brady and Theresa. EM still plays a lot of his scenes like he's on the verge of sleep but I enjoy the dynamic. I just need for Theresa to be less pathetic over him. He's not all that!

I'm on Steve/Kayla overkill - can we have a break please?

Oh and I thought it was weird the other day when they had Belle be v.snarky about Sami. It felt like they were trying to re-start a Sami/Carrie dynamic with historical resentment but Sami and Belle always had a good relationship so it just seemed weird and jarring

Tony and Stefano strike me as laughable villains. Little Sami stole all their money. Tony looks all bloated. Stefano looks disabled. No offense to bloated or disabled villains in real-life. It's just seems OFF that they haven't been killed off yet and that they are still managing to wreck havoc. Meh. It's weak.

 

Agree.  I think DAYS wants to continue the DiMera family empire with Andre and with Chad -- but if you ask me, they should just quit while they're behind.

 

DAYS has had several opportunities to transition the Dimeras to the next generation and every last one of them has been about a female Dimera and every last one of those possibilities has been squandered. Kristen flew out of a window, Lexie died of a tumour and Kate made a 180 out of the Dimera universe. Had the writers transitioned the family name into a female dynasty it would have flourished but the show is too stuck to its own bad habits and stuck on people like Thaao Penghlis who can't shoulder a storyline on his own. 

Not every last one was about a female. EJ was the main DiMera character between 2006-2014. Lexie was only written as a DiMera in 2001-2002.

 

Since Joe can't do much anymore, Thaao is the best choice as the head of the family.

I always thought the baby switch would have been better if Brandon had taken the role Rafe had in the story. Finding out that his sister took the child of the woman he loved.

Steve and Kayla's scenes were crappy mess.

I forgot about Kristen. Eileen would have been a huge improvement over TP.

 

 

They positively wasted Eileen's last 10 episode return but her 2012/13 work was incredible. She would have been a far more effective part of the show than any other Dimera.

If Eileen had to go...she went out in a Marlena catfight...as she should have. lol.

 

But otherwise...I agree. If 2012/13 proved anything...Kristen Dimera is a force of nature...
