Looks like the show is going to be filled up with a lot of dead weight again. 

DAYS keeps doing these mass hirings and firings to cover the fact that they don't have much of a story canvas anymore or enough avenues to explore with their characters.

I've heard for the older roles they may cast soap veterans.  Possibly Darnell Williams (Jesse AMC) and Robert Newman (Josh GL)...just a rumor

Unless these people are willing to work for peanuts, I don't see how DAYS could afford to pay them... Oh, wait, they did kill off the resident gay, so maybe now the budget's better....

I think a lot of career soap actors would take these short-term gigs just because it gets them SAG credits, thus keeping them eligible for their health insurance and vested in the pension plan.

And by the time one clicks on that link, those roles will have been cast (and recast), they will have been introduced onto the show, turned into insta-relatives of Daniel Jonas or the Hernandezes, chemistry-tested with everyone else on the show, exposed as grade-Z villains in cahoots with Andre, written into a corner and then killed off, with a juiced-up SOD item ("Another DAYS Bloodbath!") to boot.  All before one scene with any of them has aired.
