yeah IDK....I liked the little throwback to the original Scream movies, but it sort of became a mess towards the middle of the show...

I honestly can't say If I will continue watching or catch an episode here and there...

that slutty blonde chick annoyed me (the one sleeping with the teacher) and was totally channeling Lydia Season 1 on Teen Wolf....

I thought the trailer looked good, but I couldn't believe how bland the execution was. I'm not crazy about the cast and the fact that the backstory is a ripoff of Friday the 13th. The whole deformed killer thing is a direct copy of Jason. It just didn't feel like Scream despite the surface things they tried to include. I like it being in a different town, but references to the original killings as inspiration and a potential tie in would've been nice. I'm just not crazy about this idea in the long term. They said they don't even plan to reveal the killer at the end of this season. I imagine it's going to be similar to Pretty Little Liars, just drawn out. Hopefully if the show lasts they bring in new showrunners. I'd have Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson take over for season two at any cost.

I tried watching the episode yesterday. Ugh. So bland and boring. It had the slight feel of the Scream movies but it just wasn't very good. Why is this airing in the summer anyway? Air it around Halloween. Why do networks air their more Halloween/scary programming during odd times. Hello. Air them in the fall.

I wasn't impressed by this at all.

And ugh to the cliches, from the characters to the plots. It's just not working. I also feel like, while they were hilarious movies, Scary Movie has sort of projected a comedic /satirical tone towards the Scream movies and they're seen as more of a joke than they were at the time. It's all just falling sort of flat. The pilot felt like it belonged in the 90s, TBH. Not a bad thing but between the horny/empty headed jock, the overly banged bitch/slut who sleeps with the teacher .... sigh. A few of the actors are appealing enough but it just feels too much like a "been there, done that".

And I'm sort of over shows having a narrative where the lead talks to us. It's getting tired.

It was just dull. They don't have the appealing cast of Scream, they don't have the tension Scream's murders did. It was no better than a straight to DVD movie. Mathew Lillard was so great in the original movie, it is a shame he got trapped into doing voice work for Scooby Doo the rest of his life.

I like this. Not taking it too, too seriously helps. They're going for a PLL vibe, despite their constant jabs at PLL. As a teacher, it IS annoying to see yet another show basically invent their own reality as far as what goes on in a high school classroom, but whatever.

The lead girl isn't as bad as I thought she'd be. I actually liked her a lot for most of the latest episode. She seems smarter than they could have written her as, so that's good.

Most exciting thing for me was seeing a display of Zapp's potato chips at the concession stand for the basketball game a few episodes ago. I didn't realize they filmed this in Louisiana.

    • It's no smaller than Beyond the Gates, honestly. Usually comprised of a breakdown writer, a script writer and a script editor; they only credit each episode with who dealt with that episode's work. But they do have a list of nine writers altogether (not counting Korte and Van Etten).
    • LOL!  He kept saying homina, homina, homina. Like the Three Stooges.
    • Fantastic show today.   Tamara has me weeping and she was right when she said the story would be unexpected.

date: Tuesday, June 3 | Sara A. Bible, Danielle Paige | Steven Williford Anita is too emotional for an artefact of the Articulettes? What the Hell happened?! Child bride, what in the Hell are you doing at Dani's home? Put your pee-pee stick away, please. No one cares. Dana is seeking a restraining order against Katherine, yet approaches her at Orphey Gene's? Delulu to the highest of extents, ma'am! Of course Bill would want Tomas to spy on the Dupree family for him via his [new] relationship with Katherine. That's low, Bill. Do not do it, Tomas. Not even to get yourself ahead; I'm sure the Duprees will help you open your own law firm. Yes, child bride, take the test in front of the superior Hamilton wife. Do it. I dare you. What have you got there, Anita? A letter to "Anita Williams Articulette"? What's this about? Dani's line about sharing a husband and the child bride spreading her legs for her is brilliant. Poor Andre, having to see Ashley make out with the man she shouldn't even be with. Go fight for your woman, Andre! But the second choice is always there. Oh, so much like the Supremes, there was a fourth Articulette at some point? Interesting. Nice detail. Ashley versus Dana? Oh now this is some juicy, juicy development I needed! Yes, let this happen. But Derek, sit your useless ass down. Maybe go save another cat from another fire. While I appreciate Katherine's persistence, Tomas continues to bring up brilliant points from a legal point of view. Ms Dana, go ahead and take Derek off of Ashley's hands, please. Time you got yourself someone new, although you want things you're not meant to have. It's your character trait. Bill is definitely beginning to give signs of something very serious; is it epilepsy? Oh shït is hitting the fan, re: the Anita storyline. She knows this letter, back to front. Wow. Damn... so the fourth Articulette unalived herself? That's a strong reveal, and not at all what I would expected! Notes: Once again, Karla Mosley (Dani) continues to eat up the dialogue written for her and delivers it so effortlessly. I've noticed this several times in the past month, but Alex Alegria's (Tomas) jackets, from my perspective, seem to be tailored too tight in his arms, or Jeresa Featherstone is buying things to fight the other parts of his upper body. The smarter thing to do would be to buy something that fits his more athletic upper arms and tailor in the sides of the jackets. Because the ones he's been wearing recently do not fit him properly, they should not be bunching at the shoulders like that. Tamara Tunie (Anita) just earned herself the Emmy! Give it to her right now.

so there was a 4th Articulette and she killed herself bc of Anita? Im confused
    • Question.  Why is the list on-screen of writers so small for GH?  Are there really that few writers for this show, or does the show employ uncredited "extra help" to save money?
    • The old letter that Anita is silently reading. The voice we hear must be the voice of the writer of the letter talking to "Nita". [The closed-captioning says her name at the start of her voice.]
