Canadian Friday/Monday's episode:

Victor, Nick, Adam, Chelsea, Vicky
At the AC Victor asks Nick about Gabriel Bingham. Adam comes to the table and asks why Victor wants information on him. Victor says he is just doing a background check. Victor accuses Adam of having a very large ego and is full of himself, just the qualities he likes. As Victor is leaving he says “watch it” to Adam. Adam tells Nick he knows what Victor is all about and how Victor was involved with Harrison Bingham.

Chelsea meets with Victor and accepts his offer but she has to have creative control of her line. Victor asks her if she will have a problem working with Gabe given her history with him. She says there is no history and she barely knows him.

Victor brings Chelsea to see Vicky and leaves. Chelsea tries to show Vicky some drawings and Vicky says why bother if she has creative control. Vicky tells her she likes her clothes with some class. Chelsea says Victor promised she would be treated with respect. Vicky asks respect like Chelsea showed Billy by sleeping with Gabe. Chelsea reminds her that she saw Vicky with her lips all over Billy. Ashley breaks them up. Chelsea says she is done and Vicky asks if she is quitting. Chelsea says she would not give her the satisfaction and now she is going to make Vicky’s life a living hell and leaves.

Vicky, Billy
Vicky meets up with Billy at CL and Billy says that he wanted everyone to see how much Chelsea hurt him. Vicky tells him that he should spend more time with his children.

Chelsea, Anita, Billy, Adam
Later Billy goes to the condo to get his things and Anita comes out and tells him that Chelsea’s heart will always belong to Adam. Billy asks to say goodbye to Connor. Anita leaves the room. Billy tells Connor that he will always have a special place in his heart and it was an honor to be his daddy.

Adam comes to see Chelsea and Billy asks if he is moving in now. Billy says that thanks to Gabe Connor is without a father again. Adam tells him that Billy just occupied space in Chelsea’s bed – space that belonged to his real father. Billy punches him. Billy says Connor is better off not ever knowing his father.

Chelsea comes home and Billy says he thought she changed but she is still the piece of trash she always was and that he was just another mark and another con for her and leaves. She tells Gabe everything Billy said was true.

Abby, Ben, Ashley
Abby tells Ben that Sharon was not the killer and Kevin found proof. Ben is concerned the killer may come after Abby. Ashley comes in and sees them too close together and suggests that if they can’t act professionally the Ben should find another job. Ben tells her he will not step out of line again. Abby leaves an opening for Ben to confirm they are a couple and he doesn’t. Abby walks out. Ashley asks Ben what happened. He said he was keeping his distance as requested. Ashley scolds him for not confirming his relationship with Abby.

The Cabin Group
At Summer’s, Kevin says he wants to tell Paul that the picture has been doctored. They all believe Sharon is not guilty and agree that someone needs to talk to Paul about it. Noah and Kevin leave.

Kyle and Summer argue about their relationship and about Jack not taking more interest in the business.

Abby arrives in tears and tells Summer she was right, that she (Abby) starts relationships without even thinking. She says she left an opening for Ben to confirm they were a couple and he did not confirm it. Now she does not know if they were ever a couple.

Ben comes to talk to Abby and tells her he thinks they could have something really good.

Dylan, Paul, Kevin, Noah, Nick
Dylan comes to see Paul and tells him that Sharon fingerprints were deliberately planted on that tire iron. He asks Paul what he is going to do about it. Paul tells him to stop doing Michael’s job and to stop telling him how to do his. Paul tells him he has a photo of Sharon outside of Austin’s building and Dylan should prepare Sharon for spending the rest of her life in prison. Dylan gets a call from Noah asking to meet him and Kevin at CL.

Kevin asks Dylan to talk to Paul and tell him to have Ed check the hard drive and the information is there. Noah begs Dylan to help Sharon anyway he can.

Dylan goes back to Paul and tells him to check his computer and the photo which will give him all the answers. Paul tells him it’s impossible because their computers have been compromised and Austin’s computer has been stolen.

Nick comes to CL and Noah tells him they found proof that Sharon is being set up. Dylan calls Noah and tells him the GCPD computers were compromised and Austin’s computer is missing.

Well there ratings are pretty good and Jill winning her record breaking 9th emmy as an exec producer she isn't going anywhere. Almost three years at the helm she's about to renew for more.

Here's an interview with Jill on Michael Fairman soaps. She seems very happy for the show and she states how much she loves Chuck Pratt. BTW she's won 11 emmys an all time emmy record for an exec producer. Jill seems like a real east coast kind of gal but she could be a bitch if u crossed her.

11 Emmys later and we're reduced to a doppelgänger storyline. Fantastic.

I will say this for her, JFP has a lot of longevity in the soap business--not so much for the soaps she produces though.

I still think Hardy is the killer.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say the ratings are not going to stay on an upward trend and are going to start going down. The show had been pretty watchable until this new regime which is starting to remind me more and more of MAB who basically destroyed the show while she was HW. Things that suck imo:

Doppleganger/imposter story. Both fake Jack and fake Adam are implausible, obviously. The only thing saving these s/l's are the actors who are both entertaining. The actual writing sucks. I cringe to think of the reveals of these two fakes. Can MCE convincingly play shocked, overwhelmed, conflicted? I doubt it. Will the Newmans' pick up where they left off with the Adam hate? Probably. Will it be fun to watch? No. Why not?

Because everyone on this show right now with the possible exception of Ashley is a criminal, most of them tried and convicted. Or a skank, looking at you Abby. Or a criminal and a skank, Chelsea. Some time and effort needs to be put in to rehabilitating some of the main characters so they have some moral highground to stand on, looking at you Victor. I remember the good old days when Victor had boundaries. Now he just does whatever floats his boat at the moment. No more Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde, it's Mr. Hyde all the time. Boring/dumb. Victor needs to go on an apology tour to clean the slate as much as possible and set up dramatic tension again.

Nothing is sacred on the show anymore. Here's my list of grievances going back a ways. Adam caused Ashley's miscarriage, he needs to apologize properly and make amends. ED could knock these scenes out of the park. Victor slept with Sharon, used her and threw her away, destabilizing her. Say you're sorry Victor! Nikki killed Diane in a drunken rage, never paid for that crime. More recently, Devon slept with his father's wife and Abby tossed off a comment to Ashley about her mother [!@#$%^&*] a guy in the shower. A guy that she, Abby, is now having sex with. And apparently he's not that in to her. No insult or act is so nasty or bad enough to have lasting (or any) implications anymore.

This new regime seems to think that every show should contain at least one sex scene, punch and/or slap. It's getting predictable and stale.
