I'm not crazy about a lot of CCB's beliefs at ALL, but I can't help it, DJ was always one of my favorite characters (she and Stephanie). She also got a LOT of crap about her weight growing up, and although she briefly had bulimia early on in her marriage after moving away from her family for the first time (and her husband was away playing hockey), she otherwise was able to lose weight in a healthy way during the last two seasons of the show, and looks beautiful now. And at the very least, I think she's certainly a lot better at handling her beliefs than her hopeless older brother.

Maybe she married Nelson! :D #agirlcandream

I mean, Perfect Strangers, I guess, by virtue of not having any kids in the cast, had maybe a little more of an adult fanbase than most Miller-Boyett shows.

I bet Candace objected to being a divorced parent for religious reasons....whistling.jpg

But yes, without the Olsen twins, they won't get the marketing push they'd otherwise get. And I have to laugh at Stamos's hypocritical ass - he spent over a decade openly loathing what this show did to his career and being typecast, but now he's a producer and making some money on the backend, it's all good...

He really did distance himself from the show for a long, long while. I mean, that happens, people often soften towards the show that made them famous over time, but going all #getmoneybitch about it probably helps, too.

Like I said before, I can see Mary-Kate and Ashley showing up for the first show, which is supposed to be a huge reunion of some sort, but they both retired from acting quite a few years ago, so it's their call. They've earned the right to shun show business forever if they want to.

For the Olson twins they should cut a deal where each does half the episodes, or each just does any given number of episodes that way they can actually use and develop the character, but it isn't too much of a strain on each twin if they don't want to act full time.

Lori Loughlin Says She Wants to Do Full House Revival, if the Money Is Fair: "They Only Made Deals With Half the Cast"

http://www.eonline.com/news/648598/lori-loughlin-says-she-wants-to-do-full-house-revival-if-the-money-is-fair-they-only-made-deals-with-half-the-cast?cmpid=sn-000000-twitterfeed-365-kristin&utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=twitterfeed_kristin&dlvrit=51396

"I don't know," she admitted when asked if she would return to the new series. Loughlin explained the revival had been in the works for years, a flip on the concept of the original show that would see Tanner girls D.J. (Candace Cameron-Bure) and Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) living with Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber), helping the widowed D.J. raise her family.

"They decided to it'd be great to open the show with a one-hour reunion," Loughlin said. "The only thing is, they only made deals with half the cast, but not the other half."

    • Thanks. I'm glad we have some fan memories of these years as this is such a typically snide take on the genre. It's also poorly written and reminds me a great deal of the tedious "snark" recaps that became popular in the '90s. The end in particular. The 1979/80 stuff I have seen is much more polished than a number of soaps at the time. It was very easy to watch and not too bogged down in past story.  Margo is played by Ann Williams, who was on what seemed like every soap. I think she said Margo was her favorite role.
    • And the rating 'wars' continue...hehe.
    • Well, it was fun while it lasted for Rebecca Herbst. Le sigh.
    • I am wholeheartedly enjoying this show. I just haven't been able to post as much as I used to. But yes, this episode needs to be submitted for the EMMYs and there needs to be wins. I better NOT see Y&R, DAYS, or B&B winning in categories over BTG. I feel like the only show that is giving BTG an ounce of competition this season is GH.
    • I never thought the day would come, but too much MM for me.
    • I think it may be that the character was brought in for a specific purpose and then became popular with viewers, and the show didn't know how to respond.  The choice to pivot away from Simon/India may show that you are right and they didn't care for her...although pairing them up may be another sign they didn't care for her. I don't connect well with this period but it does make me happy seeing some of these characters before the great purge and some of the surprises - I'd forgotten the wonderful Maureen O'Sullivan popped up to be bumped off. So typical of soaps by this point, but it doesn't grate as much as later on when Y&R would bring on any random cast member from Small Wonder. I'm also amazed at this time at just how much money the show must have had. The costumes for the Founder's celebration in summer 1984, or whatever it was, looked gorgeous.
    • Which officially started to feel that way today with them hearing each other out as they confronted each other at the same time.    Same. He was even catching himself when he was about to go overboard or do those tics that people don't seem to like. He failed a bit at the end, but he carried. It makes me think about a month back when it was discussed that the actor was better in other things he's been in. And I questioned then if that meant that he was playing Martin more intentionally. I questioned that briefly again today because he was giving.
    • I really like the actress who plays Margo. Don't know  her name. I'm so hesitant to google anyone because I don't want to know the length they were on the show. I've watched two episodes and I have to say that the show does not feel as dated as other shows. I tried to watch Ryan's Hope a few weeks back and some of the acting was a bit rough. EON is a lot more natural which amuses me considering it's a mystery/thriller show.
    • She’s INCREDIBLE. I’m so glad you enjoyed this my friend.
