He saved Star Trek after the terrible first movie. Star Trek II was great and is the reason they got another ten movies out of Star Trek and probably the reboots. Star Trek III was so so, but IV was another very good effort. V the less said the better.

    Harve did exactly the right thing with ST:II. He went back and viewed all the original episodes and then found the springboard for the movie in the "Space Seed" episode.
