Members Bright Eyes
Thank you. That's not to say I don't love more modern actors, of course I do, I just love the legends, and underrated forgotten gems, more.
Members Khan
I see what you mean, BE. I, myself, have Bill Holden on my list; and if I could add several others from the "Golden Age" of Hollywood, I'd probably add Fredric March (also on your list), Walter Brennan, Thomas Mitchell, Lionel Barrymore and Lee J. Cobb.
Members Bright Eyes
Holden and Loy. One of the best pairings of all time. It truly could be a never ending list.

Members Bright Eyes
Wow, Katharine Hepburn would slit my throat if she knew I had forgotten her. Her performance in Morning Glory is one of my favourite things that exists.
Members AdelaideCate007
Yesssss. My favourite of her's after The Lion in Winter. SFK- my 11 year old sister is *obsessed* with Geraldine Page. You're the only other person I've ever "met" who also loves her.
Members Khan
And now, without further ado, here are the ladies... Elizabeth Ashley Jill Clayburgh Bette Davis Faye Dunaway Sally Field Jane Fonda Lee Grant Julie Harris Eileen Heckart Katharine Hepburn Julie Kavner Diane Keaton Louise Lasser Mary Kay Place Ginger Rogers Barbara Stanwyck Meryl Streep Lily Tomlin Nancy Walker Sigourney Weaver I agonized over including several of these names -- Ashley, Grant, Julie Harris, Heckart, especially Clayburgh and Weaver -- on account of their work in soaps. Apart from Clayburgh and Weaver, however, these women came to the genre after enjoying storied careers in theatre, films and prime time television. So, yes, Vix, you CAN include Julianne Moore. Members SFK
She was phenomenal. I'm an actor and the first few times I saw her, I was so riveted because she was behaving like me onstage years before I'd ever acted... she beat me to my own punch, I wasn't so much an original as a kindred spirit. I love her, probably because I see myself in her, as vain as it sounds.
Members MissLlanviewPA
I've only seen Geraldine Page in The Trip To Bountiful, which got her her only Oscar. The end of that movie is heartbreaking. Well, she's also in Woody Allen's movie Interiors, so I've seen her in that, too. That movie is depressing as hell.
