January 12, 201510 yr Member Ugh they don't do the In Memoriam anymore I do love that Clooney paid tribute to Robin Williams I love it more that he paid tribute to Lauren Bacall. Now I have to like him. That Julianne Moore, Patricia Arquette and the beautiful Eddie Redmayne won have me smiling from ear to ear. I can only demand an Oscar repeat.
January 12, 201510 yr Member I heard him mention Lauren Bacall but I missed exactly what he said. Did he reference her Oscar snub (which I'm still pissed about)? I really liked his speech. I agree, Bright Eyes, I'm so thrilled those three won.

January 12, 201510 yr Member I taped this but the pre-show with literal and figurative dickhead Matt Lauer was so vapid, I pretty much lost interest. Is there anything that is worth seeing? Let me know (if you feel like it) and I'll watch.
January 12, 201510 yr Member The opening monologue was great, I would watch that. Also a few of the acting acceptance speeches were really good. Edited January 12, 201510 yr by Mr. Vixen

January 15, 201510 yr Member The only snub that upset me was Aniston. Otherwise, I'm good with these nominees.
January 15, 201510 yr Member My only reaction to them snubbing Oprah for Best Supporting and the main actor from Selma? SO NASTY...& SO RUDE.....
January 15, 201510 yr Member Thankfully the Academy got it right and denied Aniston's basic, charisma-less, and hard ass a nomination.
January 15, 201510 yr Member I'm not surprised Selma was snubbed, there seemed to be a backlash in the press lately about it's historical inaccuracies. Or maybe it was blanket racism and sexism on the part of some in the media, who knows.
