No they're not tearing it down. Yes, they still have the basic original set. They're remodelling and updating it.

I agree with whoever said that the show sort of took a turn with Howarth, Alderson, and Easton coming back as the new characters. They were basically forced to bring them back and then Frank and whoever didn't like Ron's original character ideas for them, so we ended up with Silas, Kiki, and Franco. The show has just been kind of off since then.

That's an understatement IMO, but I agree. The show completely collapsed for me, in many ways, from then on. It's entertaining in a trashy way but I don't often find it good.

How were they forced to bring them back? And who were the original characters?

Well, I was trying to be polite, but I agree. I usually enjoy a lot of it and find it entertaining but it's never, as you said, good. There are good and sometimes greats moments, but as a whole, it's never really been great overall since before the three of them came back.

I don't know all the ins and outs, but ABC higher ups told GH that they had to have them back and find a way to make it work. I think mostly because they didn't want to give in to PP and wanted to stick it to them at the same time. Well, Easton was always going to be a Clay relative. That's part of the reason we had some or that half assed vampire madness happen. Ron thought of Howarth being a Quartermaine relative or Tom Hardy before it was decided he was "too dynamic" for that. Alderson was going to be either Anna Donnelly or Serena Baldwin (which was thisclose to happening) but those both fell apart for some reason. There rumours (which I think are more than likely false) about why she didn't end up as Serena when it almost happened, but I think the real reason is that they wanted to keep her tied to Howarth. Somewhere in the middle of all that, Frank changed his mind about who Sam's father should be and got the "brilliant" idea for it to be Julian and then for them to tie everyone to the Jeromes and here we are.

I knew about Frank and Julian. I didn't know ABC wanted them back as much as GH did.

"Too dynamic" for anyone but Franco. Wonderful. I always felt Easton should've simply been a Cassadine. I don't know that any role but Brook Lynn could've worked for KA - I wouldn't have bought her as Serena, I know that much.

The last time I remember was around 2001 when Carly's car went off the cliff and she was presumed dead. I remember Jax coming to see Bobbie there.

So they actually mentioned the brownstone and referred to it as being the one Bobbie owned? I'm excited to have it back, even though it'll be kinda said that Bobbie doesn't own it anymore.
