I can understand being in a crunch about who you can give money to - things were the same at OLTL - but it's not like this show doesn't have five thousand people and isn't adding three more a day. That's what leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

If someone wants to clear up the murky areas of the Genie Francis situation, I'm all ears.

I don't disagree. It's hard to take them seriously when they've got money for Stafford, Billy Miller, and heaps upon heaps of newbies.

As for Genie Francis, she was on a short term contract (everyone knows this) for the anniversary. She was under the impression they were going to sign her to a long term contract when that was over. They wanted to give her just another short term contract. She said no and bounced. She went off to make her movie and help her mum and then GH came back and said she could join the permanently recurring peeps like Lucy, Felicia, and Kevin but they could give her more of a guarantee about when she'd work and she'd get more money then on contract or she could go back to the short term contracts. It was up to her since they really wanted her on the show. She said no, she wasn't working without a long term contract anymore and they said fine and now she's off the show and Laura is back in France.

Why dont they just change the name of the soap to.....The Sabrina Show with special guest stars.....

That's about what I heard, then.

Still not good enough for her or for me, frankly. I had all the sympathy in the world for the Lucy, Scott, Kevin, etc. situation but if you want Laura of "Luke and Laura" you bend the rules. And it's not like they play those recurring corps' stories as consistently as they should. Their overwhelming need to do everything with everyone right now, to have everything they want and eat their cake too, to prove people wrong about the newbies they love, has sent the show sprawling and tits-up.

I just don't see that. They really wanted GF on the show like they really wanted Easton, Alderson, Howarth, West, Stafford, etc? Forgive me for scratching my head on that one.

I really liked the recast. She was stunning and could have done some damage as a bad girl.
