There are a lot of guys, that at first glance, look older than their age but after you get used to them, hear them speak and articulate (or not!), they start to better represent their age.

This could certainly be the case with this guy. Who knows? He could turn out to be a fantastic actor and all the belly-aching about him being "too old looking" will be a distant memory.

You should know by now that when a soap fan is determined to hate a thing, they will hate it no matter what. There is probably nothing this guy can do.

You could also argue that soap executives keep making the same bad decisions over and over again and soap fans might just know the shows better sometimes, and be ready to tune out after what has now been more than a decade of those bad choices.

True. The reception of BuJ, which I predict will be bad, is just a product of years of viewer dissatisfaction.

Well despite being too old, I'll give him a chance cause he does look like a good actor judging by his reel. Plus all the Bring back Billy Miller tweets make me root for him in a way lol.

Yeah I have nothing aganist Burgess but I feel YR will do all they can to get BM back and IF they do, Burgess will be fired so quick that his head will spin like in the Exorcist.

You are a far better person than me. This guy is a good actor but, honestly, I will surely resent all the airtime and story he will get so I am pretty confident that I will hate his Billy.

I'm willing to give the new guy a chance...but even then, if he turns out to be great in the role, I'm sure I'll still crack a joke here and there about his age.
