Prior to Villy she had NO FANS. They had Gina Tognoni publicly talking about how she was offered the role of Victoria WHILE Heinle is in the role. THAT is how unpopular she was that they can openly try to recast because she sucks so bad.

I've been an AH fan since she came to Y&R and I never heard that about GT. I loved that they changed direction from what they had previously done with Victoria with HT. She was too brash and sassy. Apparently they like what AH has done with Victoria or they would be directing her to CHANGE.

You all just want to pretend you don't understand so that you don't have to accept the facts. And that's JMO. Or you are just juvenile.

I personally hate when someone claims their personal preferences or opinions are fact.

There were rumors that GT was offered the role of Victoria but nothing was confirmed. GT did an interview with Michael Fairman in 2011 and she did comment on BM and Y&R.

It's pretty annoying when you all ask questions about the appeal of BM and Villy and then dismiss outright our honest answers.

He's been gone for a long time. It's not a tactic. I want to like Villy again. DT didn't cut it. It is all about his acting and his facial expressions. He looks a lot more mature in photos where his face is not scrunched up like a little boy having a tantrum. Aren't facial expressions and hand and arm gestures part of acting?

Are you referring to the reasons why I (and many others) liked BM and BM's Villy (which were dismissed by people who thought their differing opinions were fact) or my reasons for agreeing with the firing of DT in the role of Billy? (See your own comments about that below)

You can always re-watch the episodes for clarfication, remembering also that DT was fired...for a reason, of which no one has stated here that they believe was because of CM's Kelly.

I haven't posted anything (and I wouldn't) that can't be backed up by the actual episodes.

Well slather syrup on me and call me a waffle, because after today's episode, I changed my mind. If they are hell bent on telling this WTD with Stitch/Vic/Billy (and I honestly don't see how they can avoid it at this stage) then David Tom can't play Billy. Everytime he's required to speak Victoria's name or worse, share scenes with her, he dissolves into a mass of quivering putrid goo. It's just godawful. I've really enjoyed his story with Chloe and Chelsea and he's ok with Jack and with Jill. But it's just inevitable that there's going to be a Victoria Newman who will have story with Billy Abbott and she will be played by Amelia Heinle, and once I accept that painful fact, I can't avoid the obvious. David Tom won't work.

Honestly, if (and I'm totally speculating here so no spoiler tags) the story direction goes where I see it leading, Billy is going to be wigging out over the baby daddy deal, and once Phyliss wakes up, Kelly will be tripping the lights cray, and I can see them revisiting the pairing. And it would look ridiculous with Tom in the role. JMO.

I do care more about Villy ending and was hoping that DT's lack of chemistry with AH would end that show hogging couple for good! That's the only reason I am upset about this. And i dont mind admitting it. I have never had any real love for the character Billy or DT. I was a little interested when he was with Chloe and back in the day with Mac but that was all because of the ladies.

I can't find the post but someone speculated that perhaps Burgess Jenkins was tapped to be Adam and then TPTB changed their minds when they needed to recast Billy, and tapped BJ for that role instead. If so, this could be another knee-jerk reaction - making it a huge mistake, like I believe the Cady McClain recast of Kelly to be. I watched this video of BJ on You Tube

and I can see him as Billy and as Adam. But I am confused about their ages though. Isn't Adam supposed to be younger than Nick? How old should Adam and Billy be today?

I think they're both attractive and I also think they look the same age and show the same maturity level. All the talk of David Tom looking like a baby are rubbish IMO. Yes he looks good for his age, but he looks his age.
