Different show, different direction, different results lol

Exactly this.

LeBlanc had great chemistry with his ladies--Christine (as much as you can elicit anything out of her ph34r.png ), Diane, Grace, Phyllis, VICTORIA. It wasn't until mid2000s and on that the situation became worse and worse.

And I mean, look at that entire family, there's Gloria, where, well, come on - then the two gay dudes, plus Fen who might as well be (though he should probably be the only straight one), and who's at the center of it? Gay bitch goddess Lauren who has at times had elements of drag to her character in and of herself. It's all right there - every inch of that family is flaming queers.

That story writes itself - give Michael a Far From Heaven experience with his beloved wife after his little brother admits his own sexuality. They'll never do that, but the old, daring Y&R - had it been created today, that is - just might have, IMO.

Tuc Watkins is Tuc Watkins; he has chemistry with everyone. It literally was never an issue for me - he sold romance with every woman he was with, young or Robin Strasser, and I bought it every time because he was such a singular personality. Neil Patrick Harris is not entirely dissimilar to him today.

I don't think NPH is flaming at all, or Tuc for that matter. They read as just people to me, very outsize personalities, and could play anything - I've never had a problem buying them as into women onscreen.

I remember there was some spec based on some comments from Jennifer Pepperman that OLTL was going to have David finally come out as playing for both teams last year, but if that was ever on the books they didn't get around to it.
