People at Michael Fairman's site are speculating that faux Cassie is Mariah, Tyler's ex. I noticed that the show still lists CG as Cassie Newman in the credits.

Thoughts...?

Nah. She will be Cassie's twin and Sharon's daughter that they will redeem over night to be the show's younger flawed heroine. I still think Mariah will be played by CK if we ever see her. I am convinced she has had Tyler's kid. I doubt they start Faux Cassie out with a kid.

However, I think it would be an interesting turn if she is Mariah because it could start the feud for the two younger Newmans that just might make Abby more interesting. It could be as good for her as Hilary it has been for Lily.

Hmmm. Not sure. Leslie and Tyler said Lily reminded them of Mariah. If CG's character is Mariah, then perhaps they were referring to the ways Lily comes off as immature?

Well I think it is deceitful of Y&R if she is not Cassie Newman to list her as Cassie Newman in the credits. Someone posted in the Y&R thread that this would not be an unusual thing but I've never seen it done on a CBS soap before.

It would make sense that "Mariah" would be peeking in on the Newman household during Tyler and Abby's engagement party... On the other hand, "faux Cassie" could have been looking for Sharon...

She has been listed as Cassie Newman for years now. That's because she was playing a ghost. Now that she is real, I just don't think they have changed the credits. JMO.

I saw the comments before but I doubt it is anything other than an oversight. I doubt they have given the girl a name yet. When they do, I expect it to change.
