Michael B. Jordan on Cover of Vanity Fair Hollywood Issue

Guess this is what happens when you get sent away to "basketball camp"... wink.png

For the 20th annual Vanity Fair Hollywood Issue, the magazine celebrates a year of spectacular film with a group of distinguished actors. The cover, a three-panel foldout by Vanity Fair contributing photographer Annie Leibovitz, features Oscar nominees Julia Roberts (August: Osage County), Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave), Jared Leto (Dallas Buyers Club), and Lupita Nyongโ€™o (12 Years a Slave), as well as Idris Elba (Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom), George Clooney (Gravity), Michael B. Jordan (Fruitvale Station), Naomie Harris (Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom), Brie Larson (Short Term 12), Chadwick Boseman (42), Margot Robbie (The Wolf of Wall Street), and Lรฉa Seydoux (Blue Is the Warmest Color).

all the characters they played with the exception of Jamie were awful and needed to go. Good for the actors with the success they've had since leaving but IMO, they did diddly squat for AMC. Reggie, Joni and especially Laurie were just terrible characters

Agreed, Cheap. I loved Micah. The most unecessary recast, and frankly downgrade, was when Micah was dumped for model boy Justin Bruening. What makes it sadder is that really in the AMC cannon, when people refer to Jamie, they are most likely to use photos of Bruening as the reference.

MBJ defintley had the most potential, and I think that's why he had the lasting power that the others did not. He was also lucky to have actually responded and grew as a result of the tuteldge of Darnell Williams. He was the onset acting coach, hired to whip the youngn's into shapre. Dadarrio and Seyfried were still green when they left, but Jordan defintly started showing that he had the chops to become an actor.

It also helped that MBJ was in a storyline with the vets and more seasoned actors (Walt Willey, Susan Lucci, Alicia Minshew) versus the other teens who wer emore in their own circle with each other. Their scenes became fodder for the fast-forward button.

I hope he avoids the career curse that particular cover tends to put on actors.

Or is that the "Young Hollywood" cover that does it?

I believe it's the YH cover (that only features female actresses) for VF.

Lupita Nyongo has such a sense of style. She pulls the eye directly to her.

Ms. Lupita is absolutely stunning and I love that she's an amazing actress. I know that not ever new film project she's lined up for, will have the same gravitas as "12 Years", but I hope she has good people focused on helping her build up her career.

There's never going to come a day when I don't feel insanely happy every time MBJ gets accolades. He's one of those former soap actors that I'll love seeing until the end of my days. Like Michelle Forbes or Nathan Fillion.

*sideyeing Messence for leaving my future ex-husband, Idris, off and relegating Lupi to a bottom byline*

The mag has a spread of Lupita's fashion shoot for Italian Vogue. It's breathtaking!

Brad Pitt is so mesmerized by this young woman. I could easily see him financing a few project in which she appears.

Lupita is getting quite a bit of press, and she can act, so this is made of so much win!
