Onscreen, they're very fake slaps, and the scenes have all the energy of a goldfish circling the toilet bowl.

The gifs are nice though.

Yeah. I'm not seeing this as a blatant pitch for sympathy for Sabrina. If anything, Patrick took the tougher beating through the course of this mess, and Ron is flagrantly pandering to the audience to have sympathy for him. He's making sure Sabrina isn't tainted too. But they may as well have Easton walk through those scenes in a brownish bathrobe, carrying a placard that reads "See! Poor Patrick! He gave up Sabrina the Perfect and Pure of Heart for this selfish bitch who is throwing his love away to rescue Jason the Terrible! BOOOOOO! HISSSSSS!"

I feel like Patrick is basically presented as a deadbeat and a weakling.

I agree it's fallen flat. I'm just glad to see Kevin and Lucy again, and Felicia, mostly in character. I ignore the story because it's ass - anything Ron writes is ass.

Regarding Tracy... I just remember her coming into the PCPD a couple of weeks ago for a scene or two where she screamed at Anna about how Luke was missing after he went looking for the raccoon. That was it. No followup, as usual. And I don't get why Scotty isn't calling someone for help? He has a phone.

Those Carly/Franco scenes were nauseating. Too bad Franco couldn't stay in a coma forever.
