Anyone see this hot mess of a show? I didn't even know it existed till I recently saw this clip. My mind was BLOWN away at the drama. The Bold and the Beautiful aint got nothing on this mother! Here's a recap of the above drama, don't look down if you want to be surprised bc I was shocked

Daughter learns her father may not be hers after overhearing a fight with her mother. The other potential father is her uncle! (although I think its a very close family friend that has a brotherly relationship with her mother, not biological). Turns out neither men in the story is the father

But it doesn't end there bc the son also wants to know if his father is his as well. Turns out he is not the father and the mother knew. Why? Bc she's not his mother! He was her cousin's baby whom died in childbirth. She took the baby to raise as her own and the man in the story was in jail at the time, so she told him, he knocked her up and he wouldn't have known that she wasn't really pregnant. Feel bad for those children that had their lives devasted on tv by that lying messy mother

LOL, I watch this show every day! I'm surprised it took some genius this long to mesh a court show with Maury-like paternity tests (although Judge Hatchett used to do quite a few paternity tests). I need to poke around YouTube, but there was another particularly dramatchet episode that comes to mind.

The judge, isn't even a real judge! Of course not bc this thing is too ratchet for anyone with any credibility to be associated with it. I see this I on YT, so Im gonna make my way through episodes and post some juicy ones

LMAO at the judge not even being a real judge, I didn't know that Cheap! I actually wondered how a rather young looking woman like herself made it to judge so quickly and caught enough attention to get her own show. I know that they tend to refer to judge show personalities as "arbitrators" or whatever because it's not COURT court, even though most of them had been real judges. Also, I'm confused because I've heard that the shows pay for recoveries which makes me wonder why people cry and get so passionate when they don't have to pay for [!@#$%^&*]. Maybe it's just the principle.

By the way, Judges Karen and Kevin Ross, their shows are totally scripted. I don't know why I even watch such shady fake [!@#$%^&*].

I love this show. There was one where this girl had a calendar and had different color dots for each of the three guys and went over which days she had sex with each guy. So ratchet!

There was one where this woman had the supposed father sent to jail for not paying child support. She claimed she got a DNA test done but never showed him results. He turned out not to be the father. He showed some restraint bc somebody would have gotten slapped and choked after I had to do a bid in prison over child support for a kid that's NOT mine!

I just watched the Trisha Goddard show and some woman claimed her baby's father raped her and he was sent to jail and registered as a sex offender bc he was in his 20s and she was a teen but lied about her age to him. As Trisha was about to read the lie detector tests, she confessed that she made the whole thing up. I said he forgave her and I had no idea how that was possible considering she ruined his life, reptutation and now cant even get a job bc of it

That episode had me so pissed off, and you are so right, I thought the same thing about him showing an extraordinary amount of restraint having served jail time. Jail is no damn joke, the government should garnish her wages to pay him back and award him some compensation for robbing him of his freedom.

GH: November 2025 Discussion Thread

I still remember the gloriously outspoken HBS letting that info out in an interview. IIRC Nora was at a funeral and she didn’t know who it was that died or why Nora was there. I know it has gotten even harder.
This is kind of a hybrid version of the way that most films work. But the problem is the volume of material and so many stories that they clearly often just cut out the little character bits and details to keep it pumping. And as I said, sometimes it’s more noticeable than others. And it’s a talent schedule thing. Which is also why sometimes they give the lines to a performer tangentially connected to a story because of a schedule issue and they go with who they have. Mostly supporting, not the lead part of the story.
As far as the directing credits go, I have no idea. I know that many of us speculated that several scriptwriters listed per day showed they had to credit from the several scripts they used, not sure what’s up with directing.
On to the actual show. I see a lot of complaints about Dante. He is very hard on Gio. But the son he raised just got charged with felonies and locked up, there was vital information they did not know, and he has the last trauma with his part in Michael going to prison. I also think this is pretty typical soap conflict behavior. Do people watching now really want all these characters to be perfect and never have conflict? For GH this part of the story is mostly about actual human feelings, although heightened for soaps. It’s how I feel about Drew too. We need conflict in this show! There was a several year period recently where everything was generic and genial and boring- I don’t want to go back to that.
And people can miss me with Britt defending. She’s up to her eyeballs in something shady and she isn’t capable of playing any layers that make it seem like her hand is truly forced. Yes her medication. But that scene with Emma was ridiculous because poor Britt.
Also- all those extras for a debate and voting booths, and the hospital is practically abandoned. There was more staff in the Haddonfield Clinic in Halloween 2 than GH these days.

The opening credits featuring Lauralee, Beth, Tracey etc
It says something when the guest list was basically recurring players. To think that might be the last time we see Tricia. But she nailed it giving Cane what he deserved. Just wish she's go with a more flattering hair color-that dark brown is too harsh.
Patty/Gina still looks good.
Why was Diane there? A throwback to her and Cricket being Jabot models?
Phyllis was even more intolerable than usual-she just comes across as pathetic. And poor Billy Flynn looking like 'this isn't what I signed up for'
No Lucy-is the actress unavailable?

That’s awesome, because we know Slesar was very detailed in crafting his mysteries. I still think Edge of Night would be an excellent reboot. Right down to that early 80’s theme. Geraldine was a great soap grande dame.
Did she play a hooker? For some reason I remember an article bringing that up. I really should read more of that unpublished book.

I still don't know what the point of that was. It seemed like there was a very, very hard push to put Jordan and Chris Beetem over at the time, and then he and the entire storyline just vanished overnight.
I actually thought Jordan/CB was quite good but I wonder what happened there. Later I remember him making a public stink about his stupid role on OLTL, in a poorly-done storyline that unfortunately proved quite prescient for today (the One Pure People white supremacist group).

GH: November 2025 Discussion Thread

This started at OLTL and got very noticeable in its last year or two. For a time I thought it was an ingenious approach to their budget situation, but eventually key stories or veterans would have stuff just going on in the margins every 3-5 weeks (like Viki, Charlie, Dorian and David basically doing light bedroom farce that went nowhere one summer) and it wore things down. It got worse at GH when Frank came here, particularly under Carlivati who had trained himself to work with FV's taping rhythm and the stories were very, very choppy. I'd argue it was even worse in 2014-15 than it is now, with us getting vague glimpses of backburner veteran storylines (Lucy/Duke, etc.) that were apparently going on without the audience.
He still does this and it has ebbs and flows, but it's definitely been all over the shop lately. I remember when they spoiled pairing up Martin and Tracy late last year/early this one in the mags (something I dreaded) and of course that's clearly no longer happening.

Have you seen the scene where Sonny and Carly battle it out and then fúck for the first time? There is a reason I was a fan of theirs real quick back in the day. (Online fandom in that era, on USENET etc. was notably repulsed when magazine spoilers about the hatesex came out early, but as soon as I saw their big scene I changed my tune.)
Tamara allegedly did almost replace Laura maybe eight years ago around contract renewal time, but that didn't happen and we got Kim Nero. I think you know that story. I like all 3, but I'd dump anyone for Sarah Brown.

Jonas is back maybe a year later when the traumatized Cord returns. The Buchanans want him to consult on the sly and he proves no help.
I will always remember one of the last times they brought up Joe on the show, when Nash died in '08. He was about to kick off in the OR and everyone knew it, and they knew Jessica was pregnant. My first thought was the same as Viki's, which she said out loud: "He's never going to see that baby." Then she added, barely audible through Erika Slezak's sobs, "just like Joe." That stays with me, not just because of her wonderful work but because we were both thinking of Joe Riley and I was glad the show went there. Soaps can do that for decades.
