I called Ron Carlivati "Soap Jesus" on more than one occasion because he resurrected a desperate and dying show. After AMC and OLTL went off, I was bracing myself to lose GH, too.

Likewise, Jack Wagner's return was far too brief, but slightly more satisfying story-wise because we got a little Mac/Felicia/Frisco triangle action, and Frisco had touching scenes with his daughter Maxie and got one up on Britt for her. But like Laura, Frisco just up and vanished right when it seemed like we were about to dig a little deeper. I was disappointed in the length of their stays but rejoiced that they showed up at all.

He broke her damn leg. Horse jokes aside, that was disgusting to write into this show.

I was also unhappy with the limited dating pool for gay men in Port Charles. Felix is the nicest guy, the bet friend anyone could have -- he is honorable and decent and good and loyal. He deserves someone spectacular, but instead, he got weaselly Brad, the slimy lab tech, as his only plausible option for romance. I keep hearing Lucas is coming back to town, and all I can hope is that he is a person of character so Felix at least has one viable option that doesn't involve weasel boy.

I think some of the SOC opinion columns are OK. Better than OK, sometimes. I just didn't bother reading most of them. The GH one was the one I dreaded the most so I dove into it.

SOC?

LOL.

They all hate Britt over there, so of course they'd go orgasmic over the fact that an OOC Frisco implied credit for Britt's broken ankle/leg, which was disgusting to the extreme. I don't blame Jack Wagner for being bitter over how Frisco was written, because I felt the same way.

If agreeing with SOC is wrong, I don't mind being right.

Whoever the new girl is on the OLTL column, she's a lot sharper and funnier and more energetic than I was by the end in 2012. While there was some great stuff in that last year on ABC, the other half of the show was so bad in 2011 I could barely work up the energy sometimes. And it was also a very different persona from who I usually am and how I usually write. She's so much more lively than me that I'll even forgive her not knowing how to spell "Viki," which is usually my line in the sand with commentators. I don't agree with everything she said, but she was fair.

I know Dan loved the AMC reboot, and I did too.
