I liked Thursday and Friday episodes a lot. I didn't care for the Franco/Kevin and Scotty/Lucy scenes though. These episodes felt like a real, traditional soap opera.

Unpopular opinion 1: I am sorry to see Spinelli and Ellie go. The Oregon people should have offered Felix a job first. Spinelli as a roomate makes Sam more fun.

Unpopular opinion 2: Michael Easton is very cute when he is trying to smile.

Unpopular opinion 3: I don't mind seeing Molly, Rafe, TJ (who should be Tom Hardy's son) and Taylor once a month because they don't really such a big storyline. Molly should share more scenes with her family and Rafe could be seen with Silas a little more, but other than that the show had more interesting things to cover than Rafe and Taylor faking a relationship.

Sonny and Spencer were adorable. I like Sonny in scenes where he is not playing mob wars with an exhibitionist.

Every pairing has a ship. Sonny and Emily? Well, that was more like a dinghy, but still. Waif and anyone is tragic. This guy could not be more vanilla if he tried. Even when he was calling out TJ/Molly, it was so poorly delivered. He's a waste of space. I think they should scrap this teen set and build an older teen set/younger 20s set starting with Taylor and Morgan [assuming he can be fixed].

Agree 100% Very traditional and looked like someone finally had a clue of what a soap was! However, I only hated Kevin and whatshisface because RH is an !@#$%^&*] clown who places no value on the show and swears he's the funniest most unique performer to ever (dis)grace Daytime! I loved the idea of counseling and hot ass Kevin, but RH, once again, gave the audience the finger.

Sonny and The Naked Mobster is laughable!

PREACH! The misuse of Shawn grates my every last nerve. It's just blatantly offensive in every way. I'd rather seem him fired than kept in this capacity and I'm shocked Sean hasn't ran from the set as fast as he could. Doesn't he care about how African Americans are portrayed and utilized in the entertainment industry? Someone has to cause the writers sure don't. Reminds me of when Tika had enough on OLTL and now I see her landing job after job. Bless her. And for the record, Tequan and Marc are also on contract.

Every couple of months when someone mentions Rafe, I have to do a mental inventory to figure out who the heck that person is talking about. Then I'm like "Oh yeah, that kid with the blue eyes. I'd forgotten all about him". It's happened like three times now. unsure.png

What does MB mean by saying he got Franco'd on his first day?

I didn't even remember him on GH. It was kind of weird that he tweeted TPTB demanding to know if the rumors are true. Why should he care? Why should they tell him?

I remember the actor being very very vocal about wanting to return to ALL MY CHILDREN for the last episodes.

Matt Borleghni was, if I remember correctly, sitting in GH's makeup chair when they told him the role was being postponed/ended in favor of Franco.

I feel a little sorry for him, because that must hurt as an actor, and he didn't have a happy parting with AMC either. I don't think behaving that way on Twitter helps, but it might get him hired as a staff writer...

Unfortunately, yes! He never filmed anything when he got the news. Like Carl said, it was best if he said nothing, but I'd be pissed.

ETA: It wasn't Craptini who screwed Matt over, so they would not even think of him when stunt casting this role because who cares about MB, really? Unfortunately, VI is a bigger name, so they'd bring that gut in so that he can spit all over the other cast members 3 times a week!

moRon and I had a conversation about this - well, maybe not a conversation. But I guess we know where the other stands! Look at the addition of these characters, yet TJ's mother has not made an appearance [who honestly does not believe that if TJ were anything but black, his mother would have shown up to make his life, Shawn's life and everyone else's life miserable]. Why not tie an old love of Shawn's in with the Jeromes, so that he would have his own beef with The Naked Mobster? Ugh!

So since he never filmed anything and all this happened two-three years ago, why would he demand a public answer from TPTB about their next year plans for the character? If he really wanted to know what is going on he should have called them. Twitter is not the best place to talk about a job.

Many actors have been let go from a show before filming anything and they probably don't consider the role theirs after that.

The actress who played Dr Tricia Quick on B&B for five minutes all those years ago would deserve to be more upset if they planned to bring the character back in 2014 played by Tamara Braun.

    • She could have easily tied them into the Cottage Mystery...(they could have easily explained going on adventures with Bea, babysitting) The house that Tony and Annabelle lived in could have been the coachhouse of the property that Qualo and Henry live in, or at the very least Nola would have been totally in on ghosts and secrets of her brother's house. But they kind of just sat around for months.  The clip of Van and Billy's impromptu wedding shows how sidelined Nola and Quint became...Nola isn't even around butting in on them getting married, its all Reva (though it is a more interesting Reva where Mindy and her or going at it and insulting each other..THAT Reva was fun.)  I loved it when those two would go at it. Somehow they could have resurrected that antogonistic relationship and not have Billy worshing at the throne of Reva.  When they brought JC back on recurring they should have had him at least warn Annie about Jeva pulling her down..."Darlin' I love my brother, but when he has ole Reva in his sites he will drop any woman to try to win her back...and then he will get bored with her...she's like booze is to me and you...he hates it but he needs it..get out while you can!"
    • It's been brought up that Empty Nest was a time slot hit. Here's Empty Nest schedule and seasonal rating in comparison to The Golden Girls. 1988/89: The Golden Girls Saturday 9 pm, 6th. Empty Nest Saturday 9:30 pm, 9th. 1989/90: The Golden Girls Saturday 9 pm, 6th. Empty Nest Saturday 9:30 pm, 9th. 1990/91: The Golden Girls Saturday 9 pm, 10th. Empty Nest Saturday 9:30 pm, 7th. 1991/92: The Golden Girls Saturday 8 pm, 30th (final season). Empty Nest Saturday 9 pm, 22nd.  1992/93: Saturday 9 pm, below the Top 30. 1993/94: Saturday 9 pm, below the Top 30. 1994/95: Saturday 8:30 pm then 8 pm, below the Top 30, and cancelled. Empty Nest 7 season run equaled the parent show The Golden Girls.
    • In an interesting turn of irony, when Somerset came onto the airwaves in 1970... it ran against Dark Shadows and beat it in the ratings fairly quickly.  Then when Edge of Night moves to ABC in December 1975 and put against Somerset, the slow ratings rise that Somerset was allegedly having in late 1975 is derailed. From reading the write ups of the final year, the show dropped the May/December romance.. which viewers enjoyed and was getting the show some good press... the original cast member was sidelined due to medical issues, and the show featured pure crime stories without any balance. I think the crime focus was an attempt to compete with EON.  However, people that were into crime stories/mysteries weren't going to tune into Somerset for their fix.. not when Edge of Night was known for that.. and that show was running on a high quality wise when the network switch occurred.

    • Erwin Nicholson's last episode as SFT ep was 11/21. Whitesell started 11/22/85. Erwin was on board from March 8, 1985 so less than 9 months. Whitesell lasts six months (approximately) before P&G moved him to AW for two years where he primarily worked with DePriest. Whitesell was replaced on Search by no daytime experience David Lawrence who closed out the show's last six months.

    • I assume in name only?  One Stormy Night wasn't exactly steamy.  If it's a literal throwback then Stephanie's writing about sexy times her own Uncle was having lol. Since I am going to surmise it's just a throwback to the name, Night Sins and Winter Heat both sound sexier.  Just saying.  I swear Jamey (and Ron) just google things and land on the first thing they like and decide it's a good throwback to history without watching it.
    • I usually don't want Tide placement in the middle of an intense sad scene, but this is an interesting point
