Patsy Pease has been out of practice for a little while. But, Charles Shaughnessy is and will always be faultless IMO. I won't have a word said against Mistah Sheffield!

I don't think there is anything that Theresa could do to make her seem interesting.

I bet you that Eileen quote is out of context sad.png

I am sure it was in reference to returning without Jeanne being there.

I think she is a very emotional actress, and that works for her. It's just turned up too much in that scene. Some parts, like the last moment, work well. I'd blame it more on their taping schedule.

I dunno, the clip I posted is serenely understated compared to her performances in her DID storyline in 1992.

I find her interesting.

You are probably correct - thanks

I find her interesting.

Nothing about her is compelling. I'm not sure if it's the actresses inability to play a convincing bad girl, the writing offering her nothing to grasp onto in terms of motive or if it's just plot contrivance in order to place her at odds with Jennifer. Regardless of what's the problem she just seems bereft on this show. Everything that happens in regards to her character feels like a happenstance. Her camaraderie with JJ, the lusting after Daniel and the animosity towards Jennifer all just feels like it's happening without any direction. Everything feels last minute without consequence to her growth as an individual. She's just messy.

we do. She has issues with her parents. That's been stressed by Theresa and various characters several times since she's returned. Her issues seem to stem from a rocky relationship with them. She's the typical rebellious child. Im sure they will delve into that more when they appear and we get to see her interact with them

It was actually in reference to the reason for Ashley's return.

No a rebellious child is what JJ is now, what Will was during his tutelage under EJ, and what Kendell, Carly and Natalie were when they first came on to their respective soaps. They all had purpose, an intial reason and motive for why they were causing trouble. Even Morgan from GH has more of a reason for his actions than Theresa does at the moment. Theresa isn't rebellious so much as she is just lazy and as of late spiteful. Except her spitefulness loses much of it's color because she is incompetent and shiftless. Again, her anger is unfounded and without reason which makes the character clumsy and her value to the show cumbersome to tap into. She carries a grudge against Jennifer because she fired her, but the reason she lost her job was based on her own inadequacies and continuous absences -- i.e. it's her own fault. Her character lacks reason and actuation, which makes the entire storyline with Jennifer seem plot driven. Conflict simply for the sake of having conflict. The character doesn't mean anything. Circular mess.

Count me in as someone who thinks the Theresa storyline just falls flat and hits all the bum notes...I'm just not buying the actress, it is the shows weak storyline, which is a shame given how great DAYS is at the moment.

Maybe this will cause Jeannie to come out, Tess-style.

Oh dear Jesus, I hope that never happens. We would need a different actress if they dare ever go that route.
