PEOPLE just did a whole brouhaha about Meg abandoning Hollywood and the spotlight for New York and how she wants a private life. I mean, wow

I guess "private life" for Meg Ryan means toiling in relative obscurity on an underperforming NBC sitcom.

Either way, there goes my own "Beverly Hills plastic surgeon wants to find The One before she hits the big 5-0" sitcom pitch for Meggers.

If Michael J. Fox can't have a sitcom anyone watches, in spite of his being a generally respected and popular figure, I'm not sure why someone who has done nothing of note in 15 years, besides ruin her face and sleep with Russell Crowe, would have one. NBC is out to lunch.

In the Old days, women of a certain age transfered from movies to tv.

She was always funny, just a shame she ruined her face When you set her next to Lisa Kudrow (an actress close to her age), you can see the difference.

Dying because of the People magazine spread two weeks ago about how she hated Hollywood and wasn't ever coming back.

Given NBC's track record, she won't be back in Hollywood for long.

Oh, my God. Who told anyone she could do a sitcom? Especially now?

If she's ever unavailable for filming, they can just call in Amanda Lepore.

NBC seems to be reaching the end of the cupboard. Can they give Ione Skye a sitcom? Where is Ione Skye now? I liked her in Say Anything.

I worked on an absolutely terrible film (after filming was completed) that Skye was in a couple years ago. She and a couple of other people must have done it as a favor to a friend (Melissa Egan also had an unfortunate bit part). She was terrible, and the film was barely above the level of snuff. I've seen some lousy [!@#$%^&*] in my work, but that is easily the worst.

That sounds like a recipe for NBC success to me. It could replace Revolution.

Trust me, you want no part of that film. It was "headlined" by an ex-soap star as well who hasn't worked here in a long time, and it was just a vanity project for some sort of global hotel magnate. Yet it was like Plan 9. And somehow Skye was one of the worst things in it, besides the entire production.

Was it as bad as Manos?

It was up there.

YAWN! Meg is no great talent, and if she hasn't reversed the damage to her face, this is going to be a comedy alright. Three eppies tops!

It took me forever to forgive Russell for taking that thing to bed! Ugh!
