JP, it effing sucks monkey balls. My second favourite HO character of all time, next to Darren (of course!). I can't even begin to fathom her not being on this show. In its worst periods she was always one of the main people that held this show on her shoulders. Losing her will be a huge, huge loss.

    Metcalfe is definitely a huge presence on that show. I remember during her first weeks I thought physically she was a perfect combination of Suranne Jones and Lacey Turner.

    Not that I've been watching, but they really changed her character pretty drastically over the last few years. When I did catch an episode here or there, it didn't feel like the character I really once enjoyed in her earlier years.

    I guess if Claire's back on soaps, but in another role, that means we're less likely to have Kim back than ever.

    I wonder if her health has improved. She had to leave Celebrity Big Brother recently for that reason.

    Karl Howman is joining EastEnders. I remember him from the series Mulberry that aired here in the US. I'm amazed it's taken so long for him to finally end up with a role on the show.
