Y&R and DOOL are both based in California. I doubt SSH would consider relocating /travelling half way across the country for the role, but stranger things have happened.

I dont think that has anything to do with anything. SSH isnt on contract at Days. She is free to go wherever she wants. Sony and Corday having affiliations with Days and Y&R arent what allowed her to do Y&R. Its why Wally Kurth was able to appear on GH while still maintaining his recurring role on Days

I think Joan Collins would be good as Vanessa. Was she liked as Alexandra on GL?? I would even be up for a Vanessa/Dimitri/Erica Triangle!! What I would give for Erica slapping Joan as Vanessa or Joan as Vanessa going all Alexis Colby on Erica Kane!!
