Thanks for sharing. I watched a few episodes a couple of years ago, and not unlike Fawlty Towers, I just didn't find them to be all that funny.

Will give it another try.

I watched the first 7 or 8 minutes of an episode and had to stop. It was bad. I love Bea Arthur, but it was just a bad show. I don't know if I was watching the first episode or not, but they kept ushering people in 'n out of the scene, interacting with Bea. It was like watching a theater play (or Saved by the Bell... they did that sorta thing too)

It's not great. I admit, like SFK, I never really got the appeal of Fawlty Towers either though tons of friends and family members love it, but it had much more interesting side characters--on this (at least the episodes I've now seen) Bea is really the only one who delievers, and this is material she could do in her sleep. It's VERY British farce (much like Fawlty Towers, of course, sothat makes sense) with people coming and going and just missing each other, but so was 3s Company a childhood guilty pleasure for me. I think it amounts to nothing really being of interest to me outside her character--which is watered down Maude.
