Just that slight stuff with Laura and Lulu the other day proves just how key actors like Genie Francis, Lynn Herring, Jane Elliot, Finola Hughes - even people like John J. York and Kristina W. and Ian Buchanan, Jon Lindstrom - are to the fabric of this show. That stuff is just good generational soap, and they know how to make it whole.

Yeah, the little actress is doing a fantastic job playing the hell out of Emma, but Emma's a snide little brat who bitch-faces every time she doesn't get what she wants.

She deserved a spanking for that "Witch, please!" she threw at Patrick and I really wish we had actually seen Patrick confront Felix over being a bad influence on Emma (who frankly doesn't need the extra bad behavior to emulate).

Felix has gotten really annoying since he started existing only to serve Sobby the Disney Princess and be a misogynistic prick to Britt.

so i walked in my house today and watched GH as a full episode just to see what it was like.

was i the only one who thought those duke/emma scenes were not cute? i mean wtf! it wasnt cute, it was weird duke would let a little girl do that. i love emma, but who the hell she think she is? typical little bratty girl. !@#$%^&*] u RC.

why would dante get called to the shooting? he's just a regular cop. the shooting would of been okay if franco was not there. he ruins EVERYTHING. Why did olivia have to get shot? i would of loved carly to get shot to get those carson scenes. RC just had olivia get shot to prop olivia and sonny.

i liked the maxie/lulu scenes.

carly was ooc. she's a WAY better liar.

how'd black jason get out of the metro court? anna said she locked all the exits...

im not gonna get into patrick molesting sabrina.

horrible. just a horrible episode.

i hated the abcd promo. it was so cheesy! I was laughing.

It's clever by Ron standards. He knows a lot of viewers will forgive a Howarth character anything because he's "funny" and they want to have sex with him. So this is a way to make him a victim, since, on Ron shows, the man is always the victim.

And people can say, "At least it's not Jason!" and that means it's all OK.

Yeah, seriously.

Let Emma pick out some cupcakes for her little playmate Sabrina, but hasn't Patrick ever heard of DESSERT WINES? I mean, there's no believable way to think Patrick is actually taking this seriously if he actually gives the Disney Princess MILK as part of a date dessert.

    • If NBC could have for seen the ratings of Lovers & Friends (the replacement for Somerset).. they would have for sure kept Somerset on the air longer. https://jason47.com/days/ratings1976.html  (ratings for Somerset in the final year) https://jason47.com/days/ratings1977.html (ratings for Lovers & Friends short run...getting as low as a 2 rating).

    • I liked them, too, and was really disappointed it never went anywhere. The whole art theft story was ridiculous, but they had a nice chemistry. Certainly nicer than Alan with Christine. With her, he looked like the funny uncle. The worst thing they did to Bolger, IMO, was having Phillip write that DREADFUL novel and dramatizing it while he wrote it. GAG, that has to be in the running for one of their worst storylines that didn't involve wacky things like clones or time travel. Soaps rarely do school storylines, or don't do them for very long. Not the case so much in the early days of soaps, but after GH took off in the late 70s other soaps took their lead and would catapult teens/young adults into adult stories right away. That's one reason Phillip and Mindy ended up with so many ex-spouses--they started getting married really young. They shipped Dina and Cameron off really fast after high school and stuck Alan Michael in a marriage storyline with Harley. Did he EVER go to college? I don't think so. It may also partly explain why Quint and Annabelle had to go, beyond TPTB wanting to do a cast sweep. Teaching is not a profession that plays well on a soap. Quint definitely had to quit being Indiana Jones, because that wore thin really fast, but they didn't do him favors by making him a professor. If they wanted to keep him, they should have done what they did with Amanda (who was in another dead-end soap job, concert pianist)--have him work at Spaulding as one of the major stockholders.
    • Judith McConnell (Augusta) and Denise Alexander (Lesley) were great screen partners on GH.  They got into some stellar arguments in character in the medicine room.
    • He also commented that Brad knows that fans are sick of the constant fake deaths on this show: Finn, Sheila, etc and that it's hard to take this seriously if it's another fake death

    • I just don't think Brad Bell has it in him to actually kill off Liam. He should have killed off Eric when he had the chance. I know John McCook is an original cast member, but Eric is even more useless than Liam. Eric should have died and then it would be revealed that he died without a valid will, so Donna, as his wife, inherits everything, including his shares in Forrester Creations.
    • I think we all will, isn't that how soaps work? lol
    • ^^ I'll believe it when it actually happens.
