That's not what I see but okay. If you want to make it like that I guess you enjoy multiple women being victimized, horribly directed scenes, badly written dialogue and thin characters.

I think some people make a good point that any critique of these shows is immediately treated as hatred by those who actually enjoy them.

I did not hate OLTL from the beginning (nor do I hate it now, I just don't care) and I don't hate AMC, it's just maddeningly mediocre.

But you might have a point, I have given them a fair shot and they're not my cup of tea. Maybe I'll check back in when the headwriters work starts airing.

There's nothing I liked about this episode besides parts of David's scenes with Petey and JR, and Joe's scene with Angie. Liked the reference to David and Petey being stepbrothers for a brief time (and how that was a bunch of bull) due to Palmer and Vanessa.

Billy Clyde Tuggle nearly put me to sleep -- as Zach and Lea said, "a waste of time." AMC does not have natural humor, it just has stuff like this for humor and the rest of the time it is super dark.

When you have an ultra-violent character with a zick accent being meta talking about quoting lines in the movies about "if you want your daughter to live, you will do exactly what I say" in what is supposed to be a social issue story, your writing has really gone off the deep end into ridiculousness.

Petey's fit over the phone about David, his callous attitude to what will become of Celia now that he's taking her back to where he whisked her away from, Celia's oh-so-not-subtle subtle disappointment that Petey misses ... I so do not care.

Even Brooke is not impressing me. She seems to lack energy and enthusiasm for her own talk show.

The depressing music!

25 minutes never felt so long.

I didn't think Uri's comment was meta. Now if he referred to soap operas, or online programming, sure... Where was the depressing music--just curious for what scene (to be honest, I've been very mixed with the new approach to background score on BOTH AMC and OLTL online--sometimes it works, other times, for me, not so much.) Because depressing music seems about right for some of the stories...

I am beginning to realize we just disagree more than agree and I guess I should live with that ;)

I don't remember if my reaction to the music was tied to a specific scene. Maybe whenever Jessie was finding the girls and looking for any signs of Cassandra in the room. The whole tone of the show is too dark and depressing, and the sparse music fits that but when I already feel bored, I would have liked some more of a counterbalance (not the guitar riff though, LOL).

Yeah, it's interesting how people can see the same thing and have such different reactions. I'm glad you are cool with that diversity of opinion. I know you are coming from a genuine place as well and I'm glad you're liking what AMC is doing! I'm hoping once this Cassandra story is over, I'll like it more, or if not, then when the new writers take over.

I guess I can see how some don't find the show that great. It is a bit ... blah, to be honest. It can be a lot better, even if I still think the show is good.

I like the banter between Zach and Lea but I just don't care about them all that much. Zach's become a lot more tolerable I guess. I was never much of a Paula fan, even back in her GL days, she has always been stiff. She was OK in the Harold & Kumar movies but yeah, she always seems stiff to me but her reaction to Billy Clyde was great. I love how the women just look at him with such contempt. Angie's facial expression towards him were priceless last week (or the week before? LOL.).

Darnell did well his reactions and of course Debbi broke my heart.

They did a great job casting Yuri. I am however ready for this story to wrap. I haven't hated it like others (sex trafficking is HUGE right now, it was just all over my local Orlando news just a few days ago I believe) but I'm actually glad they told it. I'm not saying everyone has to like it but I think it's actually been far more less awful than I had thought it would be.

Celia and Pete just became a little bit more interesting, though not by much. Jane in her 5 seconds an episode was more compelling. I did like the new dynamic that just showed up though. Cray Cray Celia and hothead Pete. Ready for this to finally get moving.

Ready for Colby. Still got some time for her right? Sorry, been a tiny bit absent from the board.

I don't see the music as depressing. Frankly, I rarely notice the music. So, I guess I'll pay more attention to that LOL.

Billy Clyde, I believe, is meant to be written that way on purpose. I don't think the audience is to take him seriously, even though he's a lunatic pimp. I think he's been a huge highlight, though I can understand the turn off. Was he always so bad at his mumbling? I swear he sometimes doesn't even complete a sentence and I get so frustrated, as the audio, for me, is already a bit of a pain (it seems loud, then really quiet, and goes back and forth at times).

Ryan Bittle is becoming JR but I'm really tired of David the evil doctor and taunting Junior. I know they have every reason, JR offed Marissa (who I just never cared about so I guess I just don't care about David's rage towards JR), David is awful, but I just want to move on from that. Is it just me?

Julia Barr was finally Brooke again, a bit. They just aren't giving her much to do. I think she looks fine. (EDIT: Though I was glad to see them finally correcting this)

I think my only real problem now is that it's a bit boring and the balance still isn't great (Dixie who?). The biggest problem is lack of movement. I feel like, even though things DO happen, it feels like, to me, not much is going on. I don't know. It's hard to explain. It does fit Marlene, from what I remember. It's "there" but the potential just isn't being tapped.
