Members All My Shadows
The funny thing is, when they say that we say PP sh!ts perfect Roy G. Biv rainbows, they're knowingly being hyperbolic. When we say that they are calling people Kool Aid drinking cult members, we're citing actual posts lol I'm tired of this victim sh!t. Nobody is stopping anyone from expressing negative opinions about PP. Plenty have done that and aren't whining about being shut down by anyone. The problem here is that [bitchy/petulant/childish/immature/junior high/whatever]SOMMMMME PEOPLE[/lol] have a habit of traipsing into threads, making baseless comments about "cults" and "Kool Aid" and then getting all up in arms whenever someone calls attention to your status as a messy ho. Know WHY people are coming for you because you climb dat ass up on the cross.
Members Khan
Is it weird that I'm actually drinking Kool-Aid while reading these posts?
Members All My Shadows
I think people have overblown the "binge viewing" part of the letter. It's not so much binge viewing that they're worried about; it's the fact that people are holding off on watching the episodes on a day-to-day basis and choosing to watch them all later. They're afraid that people will just not watch later, which, really, is something they should address by way of storylines in order to ensure people will always want to tune in. Members Khan
For many viewers, though, watching more on a day-to-day basis is simply not feasible no matter HOW good the writing.
Members All My Shadows
100% correct, as is the case for me during the school year. To that end, any "backlash" should be focused squarely on that, as that is the reason they gave us for the change. We must let them know that, despite not watching every single day, we are indeed committed to watching long-term (provided that we still WANT to watch the shows long-term). Members R Sinclair
Sidenote: My father and I always joke about the fact that "The Twins" look just like my uncle. The Whispers sang my theme song as a child "Rock Steady" and I used to be like "Daddy, those guys look like Uncle David!" It's a joke... KEEP CALM! Members Sapounopera
We have 150 AMC/OLTL threads and each one I opened has the same posts from the same people. A red keep calm sign and some retweets. Is this the new trend? Posting the same thing all over the forum? What's the point? I guess you don't count as someones who loves soaps these days unless you stalk everybody who works at the production company on Twitter and refuse to be sceptical about anything. People who are pretending to be sceptical are haters. They want all soaps to be cancelled. The PP cafeteria lady told me so when I accidentally ran into her outside her house last night. She promised to follow me on Twitter She also promised to talk to Jeff about me PS: Loving the Agnes soaps and saving money for a PP tattoo will never be the same. I am sure Ellen Wheeler is somewhere thinking that she would be considered the Real Soap Savior today if she had taken the time to answer some annoying tweets from some obsessive cult audience members. Members allmc2008
I am sorry for saying this but this thread is way to long!! Ideally I was hoping most people would accept 2 episodes are better than what THE DOCTORS, AS THE WORLD TURNS, ANOTHER WORLD, GUIDING LIGHT, THE EDGE OF NIGHT, SEARCH FOR TOMORROW, LOVE OF LIFE, SANTA BARBARA, MA PERKINS, THE ROMANCE OF HELEN TRENT, THE RIGHT TO HAPPINESS, AND SECRET STORM are getting.
