I can't even be mad at the story/plotting that's currently going on right now. Guza's "arcs" would last all of a week. However, I'm pissed off at the DOWNGRADED quality of the scene intentions and script writing under Carlivati. Guza was smart enough to hire writers who padded and shined his crap into gold. Carlivati's dumb enough to hire writers who take no measures whatsoever to disguise the holes and flaws in the story. The story sucks, the scenes suck and the language sucks. The fact that no one on staff is either saying (or being heard) that "saying RELISH 95 times in 2 minutes is HORRIBLE" is astonishing to me.

RS, so many of us have said our peace in so many different ways on this disjointed mess fka General Hospital, but I don't think anyone has so completely hit THE nail as succinctly as you did here. It does not get better than this! This is simply beautiful!

I am having a hard time watching GH anymore. The show jumps all over the place. The storylines are horrible. I liked the vampire storyline...but, it ended so badly. (Thanks PP), and scenes are being cut out explaining why a character said this, or is that....all for more airtime for the 2 little pets RC loves so much (Sabrina and Kate/Connie). Also, why do we need flashbacks from yesterday's episode! The only way I like seeing that done is at the beginning of the show like they used to do on all ABC soaps in the late 90s early 00s. (Remember the "previously on....AMC/OLTL/GH") things before the opening?

RC's overuse of flashbacks from a show that aired the day before seems a little insulting.

I hate to say this. Sometimes, I want Guza back. But, without the mob junk and the vet killing. At least his stories were good.

Most of them were better than this crap.

We're setting here 3 weeks from the anniversary. And, we are watching [!@#$%^&*] about Connie, Sabrina's schoolgirl crush, and relish making 101. We get one day a week of a good storyline. And, then it's back to [!@#$%^&*].

Agreed. Guza's crap didn't always interest me but I at least saw good scriptwriting, lighting (maybe a little too dark but the show looked much better then, IMHO) and some sort of focus.

That said ... can we not have Guza OR Carlivati. LOL.

I wish Wolfe had worked out better. I really do.

I'm watching the Guza era episodes on Soapnet at night and they are more interesting than this crap.

If we could get a writer, who had the storytelling ability like Guza, but honored veteran characters and brought them back/didn't kill them off like RC. We'd be set.

I thought Wolfe was boring. His GH worked better than an Ambien to get me to sleep.

    • I wouldn't call Tomas' cuts a modern cut. They appear to be a slim/extreme slim cut⏤cut slimmer down the sides, with a higher armhole, which pulls up/out, depending on the fit of the person's body. Again, I feel like Ms Featherstone is buying to fit the wrong parts of the body; instead of buying to fit their widest parts (shoulders), she's buying things to fit their middle/waist (which is the easiest to ultimately fix without a complete re-cut), and it shows in the finished product. And the only reason it irks me is because I worked in suit sales for nearly ten years, and I notice these things immediately. The fashion(s) on this soap are miles ahead of three of the four others (I like the fashions from Y&R), but the tailoring is a choice, especially where the men are concerned.
    • There probably would have been a good chance they knew of him, especially with his ties to Spaulding and his being involved in so much scandal (meaning there would be plenty of photos and articles around they both would have seen), but I agree the mask was silly, clearly just a TV moment.

    • I think all the suits are fit too tight, except for Jon Lindstrom's. DC lawyers/doctors are not all LA fashion elites. Yes, maybe Tomas would have a more modern cut to his suit, but an established guy like Bill wouldn't go around looking like that lonely button on his jacket was ready to explode constantly.
    • I do think there's room for optimism, especially with Amazon making enough new episodes to last until December. There's still time for the various players to get their ducks in a row. Guess we'll know soon enough!
    • I do agree it's better to just have people pop back into town. I never understood why Roger needed a mask on an island, when neither Fletcher or Alex would've known who he was. And the vine...sigh. Couldn't he have just been sent crashing through a window or something?
    • When the announcement was first made, I did wonder if other plans were in the works. I guess we can always keep hoping, especially as the show has a small core cast.
    • @chrismlAbout Lisa, agree to disagree. Actually at the time she was the only thing my partner & I disagreed about. Naturally she was Team Vicky while I was steadfast as Team Lisa.  About John & twin paternity, I think that like the 3 pillows was a transitory idea someone had that no one else agreed with. More of the attempt to accommodate Philece. About MJ, co-sign, 100% agree, if there were more degrees I would claim them. About Wally & Felicia, always a fan. Mitch? Eh, take or leave. Although I do agree that WGE is a really striking man. Who have I left out? I don't know so that's all I got.

    • Dallas peaked early, IMO. Maybe not a fair statement as I’m still making my way through the first half of its run, but I think it’s hard to argue to point that S3 into S4 was its high point. Back to Knots. Wrapping up “And Never Brought to Mind.” Greg’s introduction kinda took me by surprise. I low-key dreaded his arrival bc I know he very quickly gets to the center of the show, but even though they wasted no time connecting him with Mac, Abby, Gary, and Karen, it still feels like a gradual intro. The juxtaposition of the ending of the Chip story with the heating up Abby’s plotting is quite symbolic of the changes the show was going through. I absolutely cannot imagine Kenny and Ginger having any part in any of this. Yall, the Gary/Val piano theme that they pull out from time to time is my FAVORITE. I find myself humming it constantly.
