Oh, and to Cady -

I think I speak for everyone when I say: Thank you so much for growing out your hair and leaving it blonde!

I loathed that late '90s soccer mom hair she had when the show went off the air.

Didn't David style her hair while he was nursing her back to life?

Cady has always suffered from iffy hair choices but damn is she beautiful.

I think she looks like most beautiful with her hair as it is right now. It's like Linda Gray on Dallas. For years, cutting it, dyeing it, trying new things, and now she's back to basics and looks stunning for a woman her age.

uhm I see nothing wrong with her supporting her friends.........

OLTL discussion is no longer in this thread so lets move Kristen Alderson's ugly face to the left.

That wasn't hair gel.

About the five-year jump. Do we know if it's five years after 2011 or five years from the present day?

We don't know that. I assumed after 2011...but that would be interesting if it was from the present day. If I'm thinking correctly, that would pretty much make AJ/Miranda the age where you start HS/9th Grade.

I think it's going to be a more nebulous time jump, they will avoid specifics about date (after establishing that it's been 5 years since J.R. fired the gun) and the passage of time will be downplayed quite soon. I don't think they want the audience thinking that they're watching the year 2016 or whatever. Eventually, we'll only be reminded when they decide to dig into that gap and come up with a new story.

When I replied, it was still the other thread :P

Agreed.

So happy she let it grow out and left it blonde. Looks very nice now.

I'm not sure.

I mean, I love having FJ back, but this just seems a bit odd. If they wanted to get some Tylers back, why not just reintroduce Kelly? I would accept a Lincoln recast if Peter White isn't interested; I mean, Lincoln doesn't have to be a contract character.

This is gotta get me a lot of hate, but I wouldn't even mind if they killed off Lincoln, and she came back to, I dunno, help Opal with the boarding house (they so have to give Opal the boarding house) or whatever. I know Lincoln is a legacy character (whatever that means) etc, etc, but unless White would come back, even for a bit, I think the character has been off camera long enough by now that there's no real loss if he's killed off. Did they have kids? (For the life of me I can't remember.)

It's very possible the character's new identity (and whatever secret roots she may have) is tied to the plot.

This is what I suspect. Hell, they could be not even giving us her real name. If Agnes is indeed doing some/much of the initial story concepts--or at least helping, and it seems that she genuinely is--I could see her doing one that involved a long past favorite.

They'll probably just say that '''5 years later'' is 2013. Yeah, that's totally inaccurate, but I think it's the only way. They wouldn't be able to make any current pop culture references, ect. if it's set in the future.

Yep. AMC will handle it the same way other shows have. Desperate Housewives, One Tree Hill, Ghost Whisperer, Lost, Alias, etc.. have all done time jumps that way.
