I know that. I have seen GREAT fan made openings and some that were down right awful. This one seems to be the worst of all of the fan made ones!

What an exciting night it was last evening to be in the theatre to see the premiere episodes of The Online Network's All My Children and One Life to Live. Needless to say I was clapping and cheering right along with the fans and many of the actors who i was seated near as the episodes played out. I think you are going to be very excited when you see both of the first episodes of each show. They are both unique in to themselves. I cannot give anything away, but to suffice to say I couldn't have been more thrilled. More soon!

I think it was as much due to not wanting to sully **** up. His rather shady past (coughcabanaboycough) along with some unwitting dupe in a black market ring, or whatever it was, meant he now had to be squeaky clean for the fangurl fantasy set. Blake and Ross could be dirtier, simply because they had established histories to fall back on. Better writers might've given **** some kind of purpose outside of Vanessa, but these hacks simply wanted to keep the fanbase happy.
Keeping Beth rootable was probably part of it too. They'd already made her into a bad mother. Couldn't also be a homewrecker, I guess.

R.I.P.: Anthony Geary has passed away

Luke as an alcoholic was one of the Guza era ideas he hated IIRC. And the whole Frank Smith revisit was stupid and he said so on his way out the door. He said Frank was old in 1979! How the hell was he still hanging on? A Carlivati special- resurrect the dead and then kill them off again quickly. Geary did like the flashback idea with their parents, but he didn’t care for the DID stuff either if I remember correctly. It was supposed to be Bill.

RIP: In Memoriam Thread

I was just coming to post this! I think it was especially well done, and it seemed to meld the old-style TCM tributes with the dialogue with the new, i.e. music style and such.
And considering the sheer enormity of talent lost, not to mention very recently and in such a horrible way, this turned out better than I imagine, not looking at all rushed.

I remembered her mostly because she was played by Ava Haddad, who was one of the better Cassies on OLTL (maybe the best). I guess Rauch remembered her. I wonder if there were further plans for her.
I see that this was her last acting role.
I think the lack of chemistry was one issue and another was not wanting to dirty Beth up too much...and also Matt and Vanessa were not central characters so there wasn't as much story. The next sucker they pair her up with makes more sense for Beth's upcoming story (don't want to give too much away).

This year they had to just jump in as there were so many to cover. I thought they did a wonderful job. This year felt endless and as I see so many people who meant so much to us pass by, I am reminded of why. The moments with Terence Stamp and David Lynch got to me the most. A beautiful ending.
