AMC: The Prospect Park Era (old production thread)

Yeah, I took that a heads up that someone would die that day but not necessarily someone we know. I took it as more of an acknowledgement of the return of the show and the end of week cliffhanger. Who's going to die today? It's been a year and half since we've been able to ask that question.

I think that this might sound right. Spoilers and sneak peeks are just teases and so we all will just have to wait a little more longer.

I expect there will be a AMC preview video uploaded to youtube Thursday

I'm wondering if we'll have to wait a little longer. The split taping schedule seems to mean that whichever show is taping, benefits from the perks. AMC got the "Opal gets a house" preview and Harlem Shake video, OLTL got the more sophisticated countdown pics and now the preview video, etc... Plus I assume OLTL has more shows in the can than AMC since AMC only shot for two weeks and I'm guessing had to work out some bugs in the process. I could see waiting until next week to drop some AMC stuff.

They've already made videos with that footage. Several. We've gotten "Opal's house," "We are Family" AND that 10 minute recap which included some new footage. I think they've wrung the heck out of what they've already shot. I'm not complaining, mind you. I could watch Angie and Jesse make out on that couch over and over.

These days, in the soap 'press', insanely popular tends to mean "who do I want to !@#$%^&*]" or "who spends enough time kissing up to me".

Well, that's because the soap 'press' regressed to nothing more than bitter queens (closeted or otherwise) with fanbase agendas who, by some miracle, wound up with a 'press' pass. This may seem like I'm saying this about a particular person due to our personal feud but, sadly, it covers more than just one.

I'm hopeful that the mainstream press attention that these reboots are getting can be solidified into longer term interest so we can break open the soap press echo chamber. I know it can't always stay at the current level but with House of Cards, Arrested Development, I'm hoping that PP can benefit from the attention that these new viewing models are getting.

I'm remaining cautiously optimistic. There's a lot of good stuff I see coming from Prospect Park. But there's also some things that worry me and the influx of newbies who's acting ablities we know nothing about---concerns me. But I'll be there at some point on the 29th to watch the show start again. smile.png

Not everybody can be as stellar as Alicia Minshew was during her first six months.

a hint about the BI about an actor not wanting to show too much skin

One hint: The person who doesn't want to show skin is a woman and she's on a soap that premieres April 29.

LOL, I still don't think she's that great of an actress. Hopefully they'll be decent, and grow into the gig the way JR Martinez did.

If an actor agrees to nudity, a nudity rider must accompany the actor agreement. Said nudity rider is very detailed as far as how much and when the actor will allow the nudity on screen. PP cant assume nudity is just a given actors will allow.
