I thought Thorsten was refering to the back end stuff when he said that. That is at least what seems readily apparent to me, like how TOLN still doesn't have a full on Web site up, and how fans are getting a lot of info from actor twitters rather than from PP or TOLN. It seemed like he was saying it would take them a while to get the promotion right because right now a lot of things are still vague.

Speaking of, I noticed in one of their recent statments TOLN said something about 7 year olds not being interesting and that is why they SORASed AJ and Miranda (I assume Kathy, Spike and Jenny too if they are not trapped in Tad's attic). But does that mean all the other kids who wouldn't be at least 13 after 5 years of SORAS will not be seen? That would suck because I really wanted to see the David/Cara baby.

Lastly, this is my first ever post so hi everyone!

Hi! I thought it was Thorsten who made that comment about 7 year olds. In the TV Guide article he said "I mean, how interesting is a 7-year-old?"

@Bnicepeople: @RebeccaBudig have you been approached Re:AMC reboot?” Yes and no. Not for the next round of shooting.

*ducks* I'm glad to hear this! Would be even better if she appears w/out Ryan. I like Rebecca!

It's actually very interesting to watch the SN reruns of AMC and OLTL lately, looking at how dominated those shows were by certain characters, many of whom are either grown up or changed, like A.J., Matthew, Destiny and Danielle, or no longer here, like Ryan and Greenlee, Rex and Gigi, Jessica. It's actually very refreshing. As I was telling Darn yesterday it takes on a different feeling now than it did before - we don't have to look at those times as part of the show circling the drain or wrapping up, but as part of a living history again; the show was so focused on 'that' and now it is focusing on 'this.' It's healthier in a lot of ways.

To that end, I wouldn't mind seeing Greenlee reappear, but as more of an antagonist again, someone making waves, and preferably not on contract. That's what she was best at, making trouble. The heroine stuff was for the birds.

I was watching scenes on Youtube from around the time when Bianca was coming out. Greenlee was on Bianca's case all the time, pushed Laura off a boat, and accused Bianca of doing it (while keeping Bianca silent with the threat of outing her). After seeing Greenlee go through all that, it's funny how fans in the later years (2005 onward) called Greenlee a "bitch". They had no clue how epic she was early on.

Just checked and yep, you are right. I guess that leaves a little room for hoping there might be like a few U5 contracts for child actors or something. I don't know how they would handle that if they only wanted the character to show up once a month or every other month.

I don't think it means there won't be children but they had too many (IMO) and aged the right ones with key ties to the canvas. But it more or less means all the kids are now aged, which isn't a bad thing. I'm curious about Cara and David's child, if she even had one. And Randi (off-screen) was "maybe" pregnant with Frankie's kid. They'd all be about 5 now but if 'aged' like the other kids, it'd be more like near pre-teen lol. I don't know.

Does Rebecca mean she won't be part of the next round of shooting? I'm confused

I took it to mean "Yes, they asked me back for the reboot. No, they didn't ask me back for the second round of shooting."

So they asked about the first round, she said no or maybe. Then they didn't ask about the second round.

And for that I say cheers to them (unless they write Greenlee as the antagonist she was meant to be as Vee said)

If there even is an opening there might not be, I honestly don't think there will be

I can't imagine a soap with no opening at all. Maybe they could go somewhere in between and film an opening as part of a promotional video but not necessarily cut it into every episode.

Thorston's comment makes me a little worried about the writing. I've already been unsure about the team and his growing pains would have to be about either the writing or the newbies acting. Hopefully it's the newbies because that'll be easier to fix/deal with than bad story. We'll see.

Wow, am I the only one who read it as simply basic stuff--like scheduling all the filming, production, etc? I mean normal things...

Do you know if they will post then new opening? The only reason why I am hanging around here until April 29th is too see if a new opening will be released before the show starts!!

Oh please, like you would ever leave this place...

For some reason I just can't wait to know the most about Francesca James' character. I'm REALLY looking forward to her. Didn't she bolt way back when because the show expanded to an hour?

I think so, though she came back as Kelly when the show was an hour.

Maybe her character is actually connected to her earlier One Life character Marcy who gaslighted Vicki wink.png
